________________________________________________________ New Release, v0.6.0: http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4927839/Isow_s_MultiBoot_DVD_v0.6.0 ________________________________________________________ This is a bootable DVD/USB I created to aid in computer repair. It is based on the work of the many people who created the utilities that I have compiled. It contains: Hiren's Boot CD 9.7 - HUGE number of DOS utilities to do nearly anything Hiren's MiniXP - A new handy lightweight XP PE from Hiren VistaPE w/ GeekSquad MRI + Recovery Environment - A functional Vista environment with many useful tools XP Professional + Recovery Console - Lightweight XP activated w/ SP3and repair, repair install, and install options SAW Linux - My own Slax based LiveCD with AV, NTFS write support, security tools, and more Acronis True Image - Echo Server with Universal Restore NTLDR Repair - tool to boot into systems with "Missing NTLDR" PC-Check - A complete hardware diagnostic tool Memtest86+ - Test system memory GOBACK Removal Tool - Removal tool for Symantec GOBACK Windows Applications - WinApps folder on the CD contains utilities and installers Windows ___________________________________________________________________________________ Change log for v0.5.2 Hiren's BootCD -- Updated Hiren's to 9.7 -- Added Hiren's MiniXP VistaPE -- VistaPE now runs 100% from RAM. As a side effect, the PROGRAMS folder is deprecated. -- Moved MRI from 'PROGRAMS' to WinApps -- Updated MRI vdefs, 1/30 Windows XP Pro -- Removed TinyXP -- Added nLite shrunk XP. It has some features TinyXP is missing, such as remote desktop PC-Check -- Added option to run PC-Check without the script Acronis -- Removed trial version. Added True Image Echo Server with Universal Restore WinApps -- Updated AV and anti-malware installers -- Updated Firefox installer to 3.0.5 SAW -- Added Avira Antivirus -- Updated all vdefs, 1/31 -- Added dvddisaster backup tool -- Added irc client, konversation -- Added unrar for rar archive support -- Simplified AV scripts and fixed bugs -- Added Aircrack and Airocrack script for wireless cracking -- Added Nessus security scanner -- Added wireshark network analyzer -- Added various command line security tools -- Updated gparted to 0.4.1 -- Updated Wine to 1.1.13 USB support -- Everything except the XP installer works, I think ___________________________________________________________________________________ KNOWN BUGS: -- Windows XP Install doesn't work from USB -- Hiren's MiniXP likely suffers from the same issue (unconfirmed) -- Some WinApps password viewers got auto-removed by my AV are missing. If you want to add them back they can be had from: http://www.nirsoft.net/password_recovery_tools.html ___________________________________________________________________________________

There is a huge number of Windows Applications included in the WinApps folder and some cracked applications are undoubtedly going to be falsely detected as viruses. This was also the same case with v0.5.1. I had a few false hits with Kasperky.

Sven the swede (2009-02-03)

I just want to add that you can never be completely safe! Malicous code can be found anywhere. Trusted sites can even by mistake sometimes spread malicous code. Always have an antivirus program installed on your computer and updated! Don't forget to also have a software or hardware firewall and spyware protection. Downloading files on Piratebay can often be like gambling.

eqisow (2009-02-03)

Sven already answered, but I just wanted to comment directly. Many of the WinApps do get falsely detected, because they do decidedly virus like activities: viewing passwords, modifying startup, modifying the system, etc.
In fact... I just noticed some of the password viewers are missing because they got auto removed at some point, heh.

eqisow (2009-02-03)

Oh, and 123live made that post before I even finished the initial seed! The highest peer is at 59.8%, heh.

Ov4ar (2009-02-03)

Nice boot DVD man, great work ;)

powerpirate (2009-02-03)

VIRUS!!! fucked up my computer. thanks a lot asshole! just download hiren's its way better! not bloated and ppl actually seed it!

eqisow (2009-02-03)

No, you didn't just download it, because it's still not finished seeding. The highest peer is at 99.3%. What's with you guys?
This isn't the same as Hiren's. In fact, it contains it - hence multiboot. It can do things Hiren's can't or doesn't do effectively.
As a side note, it certainly *can* fuck up your computer if used incorrectly. It's a powerful tool and should be treated as such.

Ov4ar (2009-02-10)

There are no viruses here you noobs :P

wulles (2009-02-18)
