The Doors The Crystal Ship - SACDrip - Wavpack Test - D-L33T3[Pi

The Crystal ship Ripped from The Doors, The Doors SACD ( Super Audio CD ). This is an experiment in HQ ( HD? ) audio. To put it simply, this is far higher quality than a standard audio cd. It's encoded in a format called wav pack wich is a variant of the wav format that allows for 5.1 audio in a wav stream. It's presented in a .wv container with the following specs. 6 channel ( 5.1 ), 24 bit, 96khz. This file plays through your ususal media players but you will need to create a file asosiation in windows for it. Ie, right click properties and change the program it opens with to your favourite media player. This audio requires an audio card that is 24 bit, 96khz like a creative soundblaster xfi/audigy/live 24 bit. I have no idea of what kind of effect it will have on lesser audio setups. If people could please comment on quality and compatability and acuracy of the surround. I'm trying out this format with a view to releasing SACDrips in .wv in future. And the seed is? I will try to extract the wave files and run it through an MLP coder.. rename the file to .wav and burn it as a regular Audio CD. Try to fool my DVD and decode it in my Denon AVR3808ci
