Description:

Ages 3-10 I could not find any information on this disc on the internet. It came in a pack of PC/MAC games for school aged children. The discs all reference www.somc.com but that site seems to belong to another group now. The phone number for technical support on the disc is 1 800 878 9942. The other discs in this pack (all SOMC) are all "reader rabbit's" and other The Learning Company software. I have a feeling these discs were made by a company that was bought by TLC So perhaps SOMC is an old company name. http://www.aboutus.org/Somc.com Any how, I think all Trekkie fans, young and old will like it. I do not know if it is MAC compatible as the disc doesn't say and I don't have a Mac. ENJOY!

Star Trek: Captain's Chair is a virtual reality tour of the bridges of five of the most famous starships in the Star Trek universe. Featured are the bridges seen in Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and the Sovereign-class first seen in Star Trek: First Contact.
The following bridges are featured:anteak red small chestafield
USS Enterprise (NCC-1701)
USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D)
USS Defiant (NX-74205)
USS Voyager (NCC-74656)
USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E)
While on each bridge, the "visitor" can interact with full 360 degree views, along with the ability to control each and every station including (but not limited to):
Command chair
Engineering station
Conn
Ops
Tactical
While at each station, the user may issue with station-specific commands such as firing photon torpedoes from tactical, or a security lockout from the engineering station.
The user is not limited to each starship's bridge, as one can visit adjacent locations such as the captain's ready room and observation lounge. The captain's chair on each starship bridge also features buttons that reveal personal greetings from actors who narrate the tour of each bridge, such as George Takei, Avery Brooks, and Kate Mulgrew.
Voice castEdit
Majel Barrett (Computer voice)
Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker)
Avery Brooks (Benjamin Sisko)
Michael Dorn (Worf)
Kate Mulgrew (Kathryn Janeway)
George Takei (Hikaru Sulu)
Easter eggsEdit
There are several "easter eggs" on each bridge, such as visiting the bridge of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, with a limited (and translated) interface, and a tribble on the floor, as well as a "memory"-style game matching similar weaponry and equipment.
