Windows XP Professional SP2 This is a dd image of an educational copy of Windows XP Professional SP2. There has been no slipstreams. No mods. No nothing. A completely "clean" copy. Hey Thanks for the Torrent! I have 5 laptops with XP Pro COA's and not original disc to go with them... This is what I needed!!! I tried some of the other versions available on here but I wanted to start with a fresh install of the original disc. Don't get me wrong some of the other versions I downloaded and tried are pretty cool and have some very useful programs that have been incorprated into them. but some of the programs are stuff I wouldn't use and I still had to add the stuff I wanted to use on them. This way I can start Fresh with what I want to add or take away!!!

Yeah, I've gotten quite a few other Windows XP torrents and I hate when they're fiddled with. Sure, it has some cool apps or optimizations or whatever, but people like me like to do things their own way.
Since it is so hard to find totally stock images I just had to upload this.

There is no such thing as a "student" or "educational" image of SP2. Colleges and universities and normal school get a Volume image, a.k.a. Corporate.
The only xp image types that exist are:
1: Retail
2: OEM
3: Volume (Volume License Key, a.k.a. VLK)
If the iso image when opened/mounted reads VRMPVOL_EN, then it is a Volume (VLK) corp image.
Eth0 fooled everyone years ago that a "stedunt" "educational" image exists, when it does not.
You can get a student license for xp, but there is no student image.

Ahhh, my bad. I should have made it more clear. This image came from a college, where an educational discount comes into play.
This is indeed the retail version. Also, it mounts as "VRMPFPP_EN".
Heh, I wonder how many misunderstood that. Anyway, this is only my first torrent upload... but I've been downloading torrents for years.

Cool. Thanks a lot for giving the volume label as well. This is one of a small few images I need for my XP collection. Thanks a alot for the upload as well.
I think I also missed the part in the description (the entire paragraph actually, lol) stating that it needed activation, registration and was not the VLK (a.k.a. Corp) image.
I am a huge fan of having untouched OS images, so your upload is very much appreciated.

With a VLK you need to make sure you get one that is not blacklisted.
Myself, I've only been hassled by the VLKs. Sometimes WGA works, sometimes it doesn't, etc.

TheSmokingBear: If the volumes VRMPVOL_EN, X1APVOL_EN, XRMPVOL_EN, WXPVOL_EN are used, then the V2C47 VLK will work every time. How ever, there are instances when going to ms for updates, and it checks you install, it will often fail the very first time, but will take the second time. This is not a fault of the OS or the VLK used, but a fault of the windows update/genuine application.

Could anyone tell me what the different Pack do, Like Educational, And Performance.....i would really like a Performance one that isn't cracked..(like the one I'm running on) I lost the cd i had and i may dl this torrent, if i cant find performance edition.
