To post some constructive criticism, I have had problems with this firmware. I am using WinPwn 2.0.0.4 and have followed the BigBoss guide to jailbreaking the iPhone (well, with reasonable adjustments for the iPod Touch), including putting the iPod into DFU mode. Itunes gives me a 1604 faliure message when trying to update with the modified version of this file. If this is because a lack in the programs I have used for this process, or a lack in the file itself, I do not know. I am however going to look for another version of this file before I pass judgement.

Whatever you say, this is the file downloaded by iTunes directly from Apple - there's no other version. Want to check it - download update file from iTunes and put it to your torrents download folder, then force re-check in your torrents downloader whichever app you're using. The result should be 100% meaning that file from iTunes is identical to one I'm seeding. Probably Apple has made some changes to prevent updating cracked iPhones with it. Anyway, if you have problems you can get v2.0 instead from a link I posted above (:)

this is possibly because v2.0.2 was released yesterday:) so if you didn't update with v2.0.1 yet, you can abort and wait for 2.0.2 to be posted :)
