Andy Whitfield who played Spartacus in season 1 of Blood and sand found out he has cancer so it was decided to put season 2 on hold until replacement was found (Liam McIntyre) and shooting starts meanwhile a mini-series "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" was made...this is it!
