That's standard in all CORE releases (windows, linux or mac). They just use the same tool to pack their releases. It's nothing more than a Demo, which only runs on windows.

May I assume that the .exe files are totally extraneous to the other files contained, and for mac users...are just so much detritous? If this is a demo for windows only, how can it demonstate anything on a windows machine, when the software is supposedly macintosh? I am left clear as mud by the explanation.

If you feel threatened in any way, just delete the files from your hard drive. Can't be more explicit than this.

Extract the files as I've said in my previous post and then you'll get the setup.dmg and core_keygen.dmg
setup.dmg contains the installer file for StuffIt Deluxe 2009.
core_keygen.dmg contains the keygen.
The CORE10k.exe file should be ignored (telling this for the 20th time), that's just a demo from CORE team, which is packed in all their releases (windows, linux or mac). It only runs on windows, so you should just delete it.

There are so many clean torrents out there...for this utility...why mess with this oddity? It sounds like kind of a step beyond the normal, and that makes me leary. What would it have taken, to clean it up, before making it into a torrent? He gets upset when you question, but it reminds me of my third year college calc professor. He would repeat the same thing and then say, "Don't you see!"...but it was always clear as mud...and nobody could see it.
