I can not seem to get the Keygen to work. I burned the ISOs to disk, installation worked fine. Keygen will not let me run it or copy it to my hard drive. Insufficent rights? I am logged on as an Admin.
My norton indentified a security risk. Infostealer.Gamepass or something like that.

yup, the keygen registers as a trojan but this is a false positive. you need to add it to the exclude list in Norton then run it.

Chaps, I don't mind gen'ing your codes but to save both you and me some time just be smart and exclude the keygen from your AV scan.
Most Keygens register as dirty for a reason: simple heuristics or the fact that you are changing patent code!
A very simple safty measure in cases like this is to use WinRAR from www.rarlabs.com to open .exe files. Win RAR is like a 4X4 WinZIP that opens most layered (cab) files. Right click and open with WinRAR, if you can expand it there MAY be a "nasty" there.
When all is said and done, I'm not out to spread viruses; I'm out to spread great music, videos, programs, etc. Everything that I post on The Bay has been and is being used by me.

You need to exclude the keygen in your AV program. Best way to do so is to create a folder on your hard drive and then exclude that folder in AV and move keygen to it.

Hey all, I found the keygen. Once you burn the iso's to disc, it's ON the first disc. explore the disc and it's right there. easy. i kept looking for it on my computer after i installed the program.

You need to run the full Finale install from the .exe file. I also tried installing the garritan extras solo but it won't have it. Not sure why but reckon there is something missing in the msi's.

Just be sure to follow the instructions and activate by "phone" instead of internet. You don't actually have to call them, but you must use this option. And it would be a good idea to disconnect from the internet while you're activating the software.

Very nice! Got it working perfectly! Ran into a few nicks that people seemed to be having trouble with, so I'm going to troubleshoot them for you.
1st-The Keygen. You MUST disable your Anti-Virus or Security Centers' auto-virus removers before it can be used. In McAfee (seems to be the main problem) go to the main page, Click "Computer and Files" and in the bottom right of the screen should be a button that says "Configure". Click this and when the screen showing "Virus Protection" appears, click disable. You can re-enable it after using the keygen. The keygen is not a virus itself, but it appears as one for some reason.
2nd-The authorization and serial keys. I had to go through this one a couple of times before I figured out what I was doing wrong. When you enter your usercode into the keygen, it automatically generates a serial number and an authorization key. The serial number will have the word "EDGE-" in front of it. Since this is part of the name of the keygen, it would seem natural to only copy and paste the numbers/letters that appear after the word "EDGE-", but this isn't true. The entire thing must copy and paste in order for it to work. I don't know if this was just mine that did that, but other people have been having trouble with their keygens so I thought I would point that out.
Last-the Girratin Orchestra setup. This was the biggest problem for me. The torrent comes with the setup CD for the Girratin Orchestra playback sound options. I'm pretty sure that you can install it along with MakeMusic in the typical setup, but for me, I can't make anything simple, so...
here's what you DON'T do.
If you extracted any of the ISO disks from the image files to a spot on your computer, (mainly, the setup for the Girratin orchestra), do not go to that spot to run setup. Instead, mount disk one to your [E:] drive and run setup for the GO there. It will start setup and will eventually ask you for disks 2 & 3, mount those ISO files and hit "OK" when the time comes. If you don't mount them and try and run setup from the extracted files on your computer, when it comes the time to put in disks 2 & 3, you will not be able to. The entire thing needs to be run from the [E:] drive.

4.-the user code. The few people in front of me seemed to have a problem with this. When you open Finale, it will ask you to authorize, blahdeblahdeblah.
Hit "Authorize". It will come up with options. Select the one that is something like "Authorize manually over internet" or something like that.
A screen will appear with a usercode FOR YOU.
enter this code into the keygen. Voila. Bon Noel.

Alright, when I first downloaded this torrent, I actually couldn't be bothered to register my example (seeing as everything I composed sucked real bad). But now, two months later, I actually managed to compose something half decent, so it was really frustrating when I couldn't save my progress.
However, registering was a lot easier than I at first thought. Just so you know, I run a AVG anti virus on my computer. No McAfee in other words.
1: I clicked on the downloaded torrent file, in this file all three CD:s are stored.
2: Right clicked on the first cd, then clicked "open with" in the meny, I then choose "open with winrar"
3: The winrar file will pop up automatically, I then clicked the keygen.exe file located in the directoy, and it started extracting by itself.
4: After a few minutes, the keygen is ready for use.
