• Happy April Fools’ Day! • Fitness expert Tony Horton, creator of P90X, calls in at 8:30am Pacific to talk about better fitness routines. • Shaking up years of energy policy and his own environmental backers, President Barack Obama threw open a huge swath of East Coast waters and other protected areas in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico to drilling Wednesday, widening the politically explosive hunt for more homegrown oil and gas. • President Obama is promoting his health care law’s benefits for small businesses as he tries to rally public support for the massive overhaul. During a speech today, Obama will focus on the plan’s short- and long-term impacts on small businesses, many of which have suffered during the economic downturn. • A Michigan man authorities accuse of being a “heavy gunner” for a Midwest Christian terrorist militia denies involvement in any plot to overthrow the government, his attorney says, and she plans to present evidence to prove he’s different from his fellow defendants. • Texas Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison said Wednesday she is staying in the Senate, ending a series of back and forth announcements over the last year on her career plans.
