reverts to trial........says update to GOLD

Highland_Furies (2008-09-12)

Do the following to get it work: (OPTION 2)
Uninstall and remove old root folder if youve installed if before. INSTALL FRESH with SERIAL
Enter the serial - it doesnt matter if you are still connected to internet.
Open Boot.txt and change the word "Factory" to the following:
"PREF_PREFS_VERSION"
Save the txt file.
Run your media center or wtv and change the updates to never. THERE YOU GO!
It worked for me.

homer_doh (2008-10-05)

God damnit, doesn't matter what I do, I've tried both options posted here and it still says "This is a trial version, update to gold" WTF should I do?

yasmeen (2008-10-07)

big thanks to everybody who helps this work...and to uploader of course....thanks guys.....

RouninA (2008-10-08)

I did the Option 2 installation and I had to make a copy of the Boot.txt File and delete the original then whit the copy edit it so that the "Factory" settings where changed to "PREF_PREFS_VERSION". Then add the file into the root folder where the original was located and it worked. the reason I did this was because it was not allowing me to save when i edited the original boot.txt. Hope this helps out any body.

RouninA (2008-10-08)

Oh wait that did not work I get the "This is a Trail version..." Bar thing still so I ether messed up some where or it is something else. Oh well I continue to work whit this to see if i can get this to work.

RouninA (2008-10-09)

Ok i figured out how to get this to work.
1)Uninstall Whitecap
2)Delete the SoundSpectrum folder in C:\Program Files
3)Delete the SoundSpectrum Folder in C:\Users\*Your User Name Here*\AppData\Roaming
4)Disable your connection to the internet
5) Reinstall WhiteCap whit provide Serial#
6)Open WMP and go to settings for WhiteCap and set Updates for "never"
7)Restart your PC
8)Once you are back to your Desktop go ahead and reestablish a connection to the internet.
And there we go you should now have the Platinum version whit out the Trail version message popping up. Enjoy!

rybotnik (2008-10-10)

TTK-335 (2008-11-16)

I am german and i don´t know, how to do 5) RouninA. Can you help me pls? And how to disconnect the internet???

TTK-335 (2008-11-16)

I have the full version, i am sure, cause @ the start is whitecap platinum and not free trial. But ever it means i have the trial version in the middle of my songs. I want to make it like RouninA, then it doesnt mean "this is a trial version" i think...

04pbake (2008-12-07)

Brilliant. Go Platinum as you stated.
Found that you need a code.
U8CK2-WQMZM-L94R3-2YJDW-W8KY3-ZEFBF
This one works well.
Cheers

LanMax (2009-01-02)

Works Great. Using on WMP11. Once up and running (WMP Tools > PlugIns > Options > Visualization: White Cap) click on the screen itself then Menus should pop up. Click on Settings and click on check for updates and select never. Thanks !

LanMax (2009-01-02)

OhhhKey.. For some reason it reverted back to Free Trial Mode although my internet was out. Hmm. it says Code Error.

LanMax (2009-01-02)

Ok, so here's what I tried. For now it seems to be working but I will write back if it fails again.
I followed the steps by Rourina. Uninstall the program, locate the folders in C:/program files/SoundSpectrum and also C:/Documenets and Settings/your name/AppData/SoundSpectrum. I also deleted all SoundSpectrum from the registry except the install files of course. Rebooted. Disabled my internet (unplug or disable the NIC Card via software) Installed the program, fired it up and seems to be working. Disabled the Update as mentioned. Now before I re-enable my internet, I decided to BLOCK all traffic using my Firewall. I noticed that the Program SoundSpectrum kept attempting to connect online hmmm. So I made a rule to BLOCK all traffic from/To this Software SoundSpectrum. Re-Enabled internet and normalized my firewall. We'll see!. I'll post back if it errors out again. Thanks.

CliffyAttention (2009-01-18)

Thanks,
Great upload !

RGS42 (2009-02-17)

thanx for d/l. less than 2 minutes lets hope it works will post back

RGS42 (2009-02-17)

works perfectly just followed RouninA's instructions and changed txt doc as instru by Highland_Furies thanx alot for all help guys and thanx to carlosdominguez506 for makin it happen lol

stoobar (2009-03-10)

Kudos RouninA. If everyone commented back when they got something to work, the world would be a better place. Most people are too selfish to spend 30 seconds to help nowadays though. Trick as you say is to delete the SoundSpectrum folder created in Appdata folder.

andyvs (2009-03-24)

:O great!! works perfekt!

NTARelix (2009-03-27)

thanks for the strategy about deleting the folders and reinstalling and restarting pc. it works now!!!
Anyone know where I can get G-Force now? I searched TPB for "gforce", "g-force", and "g force" and I got nothing similar to what I was looking for. It's also by sound spectrum but it's just a different style than White Cap.

spacemanct (2009-03-29)

I followed "RouninA" sage advice and just for good measure edited "Boot.txt" in C:\Program Files\SoundSpectrum\WhiteCap folder as per "Highland_Furies" and it all worked fine on WMP, Winamp, Media Monkey and as a screen saver.
So thanks guys :)

Sami4444 (2009-04-29)

worked perfectly

Learjetmech (2009-04-30)

Ok heres how to get this to work, just take your time and do it right, sould be no problem..
NOTE: (If this is a first time installation of WhiteCap on your Computer start at step # 4, other wise continue with step #1).
1) disable your Internet and Uninstall Whitecap using programs and Features in the Control Panel.
2) Go to Computer\\C:\\Progam Files\\SoundSpectrum and delete the SoundSpectrum folder there manualy.
3)Next go to "Computer\\C:\\Users\\*your user name here folder*\\AppData\\Roaming- And Delete the SoundSpectrum Folder located there manualy.
4) Now Install or Reinstall WhiteCap using the "WhiteCap_505_Platinum.exe located inside the downloaded folder "SoundSpectrum Whitecap 5.05 Platinum Music Visualizer folder", and use the Serial#below U8CK2-WQMZM-L94R3-2YJDW-W8KY3-ZEFBF
5) Go back into the SoundSpectrum Whitecap 5.05 Platinum Music Visualizer folder and Create a "NEW" folder there and give it a name like "new boot.txt file here".
6) Go to the SoundSpectrum folder located in the "Program Files" folder and go inside it and "copy - paste" the boot.txt file back into the new folder created above, Open the boot.txt file and change the word "Factory" with "PREF_PREFS_VERSION" and SAVE IT there..!!...Now copy-paste the updated boot.txt file back to the SoundSpectrum folder in the "Progam Files" folder and over write yes...!! And keep the original changed copy in the new folder " incase you need a copy later ".
7) Now go open Windows Media Player open the "Now Playing" tab go to "Visualizations" down to WhiteCap and click the next WhiteCap, when the play window opens go to the whitecap settings and change the updates to "NEVER".
8) Close all windows and Restart your PC.
9) Once you are back to your Desktop go ahead and reopen your Windows Meadia Player play some music and make sure the "Trail Version Message does not pop up.
And there we go you should now have the Platinum version with out the Trail version message popping up. Enjoy
It works for me..... :- )

trickpirata (2009-04-30)

@Learjetmech
you don't need to make things complicated..
actually, there's no need to change the word "Factory" at step number 6 because the texts are written in c language... actually it is written in this way..//if ...set to "factory"
the '//' character means "line comment" and it has nothing to do with the way the software acts..
just
1.Input the serial
2.Uncheck the two check boxes after you finished the installation..
3. disable updates
that's it! platinum!

Learjetmech (2009-05-05)

Coltbear50 (2009-05-11)

No problem whatsoever - very cool, and thanks!

DJ_1_3YED (2009-06-03)

@NTARelix:
It might be a bit late for a reply now but in case you were still looking.......
http://thepiratebay.se/search/visualization%20soundspectrum/0/7/0

That link brings up the G-force visualization, or just search for "visualization soundspectrum" and it will show up there.
Thanks to carlosdominguez506 for WhiteCap!

sycoman (2009-06-05)

nice. it works perfectly.
just do wat trickpirata said and you'll be fine.
or and no viruses found.

jonnti (2009-06-14)

Ty man! Great torrent, just follow the steps that thedude808 wrote :)

TeamKKC (2009-06-15)

TNX Learjetmech and carlosdominguez506 ;)

aarongtr (2009-08-17)

no matter what i try i cant get it to work without it reverting back to trial version..any ideas. running xp service pack 3.

salasrcp90 (2009-08-19)

hey i installed it without disconnecting my internet or disabling the udates, or even restarting my computer, but unfortunately it didnt work like that, so i fallowed what Learjetmech said about unpluging your Internet and a bunch of other stuff and it worked fine. probably the software connects to the internet when your installing it to verify the serial or some other bullshit and if it detects that thousands of other people have the same serial it will deactivate.

iwilleatu (2009-08-30)

look this is really simple, if you installed this and you still have the trial version, uninstall, go to administrator, click the organize in the top left corner, go to folder and search options, go to the view tab and click the "show hidden files",apply or press ok, go back to the administrator and you will see an appdata folder, go to whitecap and delete the whole folder, disconnect the internet, install whitecap again, uncheck the two boxes at the end of installation, go to your visuals and open the settings for your whitecap and "never" check for updates, apply it and exit restart your computer and tada! its like magic, no its whitecap without the trial, hope this helps everyone, it helped me and i have all the soundspectrum visuals working, btw i used to be a noob (technically still am) but what i mean is i learned everything i know about torrents and how to work this magic by reading these and all other comments where there's a will there's a way

Shasato (2009-09-02)

this works for me, but i need the registered email address from the serial code to get updates, what is it?

Mudget (2009-09-14)

just hoping for whitecap 5.05 now, which supports WMP 12. anyone know of a cracked one out there yet?

NINgod (2009-10-03)

whats this about OS X package? what? where? who? i really really want this for OS X.

coalhada (2009-10-25)

great, works perfectly! thanks!

CKToxin (2009-11-12)

After deleting the appdata of whitecap, I could install the program without any problems. After disabling the updates afterwards, I could use this program without the trial message, thanks!

Gadda1337 (2010-02-03)

Download this on own risk, this is the only program i installed in the last 3 weeks and right after it my pc started to get slow and now and then my F-secure blocks a strange file in a strange folder...
But of course this program worked perfect, take care.

popshunt (2010-03-25)

Learjetmech you're an absolute star!!! I was told I had to pay up too! Been trying to get this to work for yonks... works a treat now!

x1conroe (2010-10-23)

Having troubles with Itunes.
Windows 7 64 Bit
Itunes 10 64 Bit
White cap works standalone. In itunes doesn't show any visualizer, just the whitecap splash screen.
Anyone else having this problem?

DeeMT (2010-11-22)

I would kill for a cracked copy of acidwax, or plasmavis.
way better than this crap visualizer any day

Villiainen (2011-03-23)

Wonderful! Thank you very much, Carlos.

SeahorsesForeva (2011-04-30)

I'm having the same problem as x1conroe. It's fine in standalone, but in iTunes it just shows the logo or a black screen. Then when I switch to a different window from iTunes and switch back, the visualizer is completely off.
Thank you for uploading, carlosdominguez506!

BramLovesYou (2011-05-06)

So people are saying it works as long as you use WMP and you select "Never update", but what about if you just want to play the standalone?
I use foobar, so I just want to use the standalone without reverting to the trial.

blahoobadyhoo (2011-05-31)

I'm also having the same problem as x1conroe and SeahorsesForeva, except that in addition to stopping at the splash screen, it also crashes itunes.
halp?

LordNitro2008 (2011-06-25)

When i use the code it says this.
License Code Error, Reverting back to Trial Version.
Or something like that. So it dont work. You can get the screen saver and all the other stuff but you get the stuff that keeps poping up asking you to buy the Gold Edition.

mexicanguy214 (2011-08-20)

Guys you can add this line to the host file located in "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc" Add the line "127.0.0.1 soundspectrum-updates.com" without the quotes to block access to the update site which will prevent it from going into trial mode.

icipheru (2011-08-25)

I found this on another forum and it worked for me! it's for WhiteCap but should work for all Sounspectrum products. It seems as though the software 'phones home' through WMP as well. here goes:
Hey! I made this to work on Win7 (x86) using Windows Media Player. We are going to stop WMP from connecting to the net, so if you don't like this then sorry:/ Now... if you're using an other player other than the Windows default media player I guess you will need to stop THAT player from connecting instead. (Haven't tried it yet on other players, so if you do, please confirm;) For sure it will work on (x64)!
I did all on one step so I don't know what "exactly" did the job but you can of course try on your self each step and see. So let's start.
1. Hold down Windows and R keys so to open Run window, type services.msc and hit Enter. You can also type it in windows search bar at the Start menu.
2. Find Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service/right click on it and choose disable. (It's safe, though it might be not necessary to disable at all, you can as well skip this step and if it will work without it please correct me if I am wrong;)
TIP:
Here is a useful registry entry that it will add an "Add to Firewall" and a "Delete from Firewall" context menu option at your right click. Is for sure handy; Copy and paste it in Notepad then go to File/Save as.../ At the Save as type option at the bottom, set it to All Files(*.*).
Now name it Firewall.reg and Save it on your Desktop.
Go and right click on it/Merge. Then Ok.
Code:::
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Add To Firewall]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Add To Firewall\command]
@="netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=\"%1\" dir=out action=block program=\"%1\""
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Delete From Firewall]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Delete From Firewall\command]
@="netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name=\"%1\""
3. Open your firewall and add a rule so to Block Windows Media Player from connecting to the net. Or if you did the reg entry above, then just right click on wmplayer.exe/Add to Firewall, do the same for wmpnetwk.exe. These files are located in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player.
4. Open up WhiteCap 5.05 Platinum [outfit] folder and right click Add to Firewall the WhiteCap_505_Platinum.exe or add it manually.
5. Install WhiteCap with the provided serial in the Serial.txt
6. Done.
7. Don't forget to Disable the Auto Updates in settings when you run your player! You can add Whitecap in your firewall too if you like. Is located in C:\Program Files\SoundSpectrum\WhiteCap.
This it may work for G-Force too, haven't tried, now I will:P

giantk9 (2011-09-05)

To get it to work
1. Go to Run and type "%AppData%"
2. Open the SoundSpectrum Folder
3. Open the WhiteCap Folder then delete all the txt files
4. Disable your internet
5. Open your player
6. Go to WhiteCap's settings
7. Change Check for updates to never
8. Done
That should work for all SoundSpectrum Visualisations.

Barnectar (2011-12-18)

I think i got the same problem as 'blahoobadyhoo, x1conroe and SeahorsesForeva'.
I works without switching back to the trial version.
(afther disabling internet and disabling check for updates trough the standalone version by typing 'H' for help and then pressing 'Shift C' to disable check for updates anonymously.)
But wen i open it in itunes it shows visualization until i press something: it shows 'itunes doesn't work. Seaching for a problem sollution'.
Please tell me(us) how to fix it

Barnectar (2011-12-18)

Edit: it does work in the standalone version without crashing though
