I downloaded and installed all the voices and it works w/no viruses! I'm not using text-allowed, I just got the torrent for the voices. I'm blind, so I'm using a screen-reader, and they all work perfectly with the screen-reader so it's cool. Thanks!

I haven't tried many voices, but so far Julie is indeed the best; not only is it pleasant, but also seems the most 'intelligent' (in terms of how it interprets numerals, special symbols, and errors, e.g. strings of 2-3 words without spaces, such as produced by weak OCR software (notably Acrobat).
I wish there was a UK (British) female voice comparable to Julie in quality - does anyone know of one such?

An excellent UK female voice is BRIDGET, found here:

'Julie' may have the sweetest tone I have ever come across in TTS, but Bridget is better in almost every other way (especially if you have a preference for British English).

Bridget has trouble (like all Neospeech) with sounds...aarghh (spelled instead of pronounced). crystal/mike both pronounce "full" years such as nineteen hundred thirty eight (instead of nineteen thirty eight). Just a note for anyone who wants to pick one :).
