He is most well known for his work with David Bowie from 1970 to 1973, Bowie's glam rock period, including being part of Ziggy Stardust's Spiders from Mars band.He also had a solo career, the most notable example of which was his Slaughter On 10th Avenue album, that reached No 9 on the UK album charts. Thanks! Always wanted to hear Mick Ronson's solo work. He was a callaborator on some of the greatest classics of the Glam Rock period, not only Ziggy Stardust, but Lou Reed's "Transformer" as well. I remember reading about his death in the New York Times. He was taken much too soon.
