Storm of Zehir was released with a bug that causes a CDT, an autopatch is available with Atari, but that won't work with a cracked copy.
Some people report that the game can't start at all without the patch.

Alright, just to let people know, the crack worked. I know because I am playing the game. I had the same problem with the game not starting, but this is what you do.
Once you've installed NWN2 and then installed Storm of Zehir, then right click on nwn2main.exe (the vitality crack) and Run as Administrator. It works!

ok, so download and everything went smooth, but when i went to party creation (crew manifest) when i go to create the party, the game crashes, every time, i can progress through the game, but i dont want to do it with just one character, is there prehaps a solution or maby a cheat to open the party creater that anyone knows?

The SoZ installation deletes the conversation files from MotB for some reason. I don't know if its fixed in a later update but if you want to keep the sound in MotB then take a backup of the file called VO_X1 from ...\Neverwinter Nights 2\data folder and paste it back afterwards.

It seems pretty broken to me. When I try to make a character all the new stuff is missing, the icons are there but there are no words or info. Same thing for the dialog in game, maybe its just me, but mine is messed. Which is a major bummer because they don't give you the option to uninstall just storm of zehir

It is an awesome game. It is also crashes constantly. Google NWN 2 CRASH to get a feel of what you are going to HAVE TO KNOW in order to play this game for more than a couple hours at a time.
You have been warned.
Even if you bought this piece of clearly unfinished rush released shit, you would not be able to play it.

i installed nn2, then mask of the betrayer, then this release
updated everything using the auto patcher,
used the mini image from gamecopyworld and run yasu1.5 with daemon tools to get around the protection.
the game runs well everything maxed except shadows @1680x1050 on my computer
64bit vista 8800gts512, e8400 and 2 gigs ram
i dont like the overland map system at all and the companions are not nearly as interactive and entertaining as those found in the earlier releases

to get the game to work use the gamecopyworld fixed image mounted through daemon tools with yasu running to cloak shit. you can use it for all three installs, not just storm. or if you dont want to do that you could find out what version # motb and the original nn2 game are and find fixed exe's for all them.

the only thing i can suggest is to buy the game and share the key, you and your wife will get to play together and the comunity will benefit. it dont look like there are other valid keys out there.

I would just like to state that bugnexus7's directions are only mostly correct. At that point of updating you cannot get past the "Sunken Flagon" if you have installed all three games. So if you only plan to update that far, the only way to play all three games is to install them and play them, one at a time (nwn2 original cannot be played with either of the other two installed, mask of the betrayer cannot be played if zehir is installed, but zahir is fine.
So please either update to the latest, or install and play, one at a time.

Whenever I start up NWN2 I can get to the title screen but when I choose any campaign (SoZ, MotB) it loads for a second then shuts down. But if I uninstall MotB and SoZ then I can run the regular game, so what is making my game crash?

I am seriously getting frustrated here. Every time i restart my pc i try to open the game and it won't open, but when i reinstall the game and repatch it then it sometimes works. I don't wanna spend 3 hours trying to reinstall and update the game, so anyone have any ideas? in the new patch v1.23 it removes the securom so u can play it without cd cracks, mini images and stuff. Anyways, DO NOT use the crack, as advised, but mount the mini image instead! Try do so with EVERY game.
There are some over at the gamecopyworld and it does not matter which one U mount as all of them work with NWN2 and/or any expansion.

like others in here, i desperatly want a cd key that works alongside valid or not, it has to at least be valid enough to work offline, just copying the mask of the betrayer cd key is not enough to play lan together, i dont know alot about cd keys, but arent there like, a certain amount of cd keys the game thinks are valid, and then there is a smaller list of those that are valid online? i would totally appreciate at least a second key of the type that just the game thinks is valid, i dont care about online.

Randomly generated serials won't work for LAN!
If you want to play LAN you can use serials that work with NWN2 and NWN2:MotB. Just make sure there are no conflicts! These are the key sets I used to save peope a bit of time hunting them down (took me effing forever);

If already installed, simply pick a set of keys, copy and paste them over the keys in "nwncdkey.ini" which is located in the main directory.

I installed NWN2 and all expansions then patched.
All the campaigns worked except for Mysteries of Westgate. I uninstalled and reinstalled then didn't patched the game and Mysteries of Westgate works perfectly and i'm on the final patch anyway.
Playing in the registry isn't going to make that expansion work.
