Description:

So, the first show is an oldie, an absolute gem, recorded at the musical landmark Woodstock. No, not the farm, but a small theater in the town. The band had released "Black Eyed Man" and was starting to play the material that would make up "Pale Sun, Crescent Moon." In fact, the Junkies do a great early version of "Pale Sun" here, as well as the rarely played "Hot Burrito #1" and "Lost My Driving Wheel," a cover that takes on epic proportions live. The recording I have is a soundboard, but it was a little slow. After loading it into my computer, I used Wavelab 4.0 to do a little pitch correction, speeding the recording up 69 cents, a little under one semitone. I did the final correction by ear, trying to match Margo's voice to what I feel it should be. The band was on tour with Jeffrey Dean Foster and the Carneys at the time. Foster evidently went out behind the theater and found the grave of Albert Grossman, former manager of The Band and Janis Joplin. I believe this is a magical recording. I've seen partial versions of it at places like archive.org and on various trading lists, but I think this is the complete show. I think it might have originally been done for a radio show, but the details have been lost in the mists of time. I hope you enjoy it.

You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with your favorite decoder ( see http://flac.sourceforge.net/ ) then write them to a CD with no gaps between the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live" show.

When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from www.4TheLlamas.com .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave "unofficial" permission.
