Description:
Dr. Zakir Naik - Is Terrorism a Muslim Monopoly ?
Lecture Date: Sep 11, 2006.
Terrorism is not a Muslim monopoly, was the message delivered by international Dawah activist Dr. Zakir Naik in a lecture delivered at the Shanmukhananda auditorium on 11th Sept 2006 in Mumbai, India in front of a jam packed crowd. Dr. Zakir categorically explained the meaning of terrorism.
Quoting historical facts and figures, he explained how the assumption that \\\'not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslim\\\' was untrue. Dr. Zakir, who is one of the Muslim world\\\'s leading and most prolific speakers, quoted from the scriptures of other religions and proved that associating killing with Islam is incorrect.
\\\'We should learn how to turn the tables and convey the real meaning,\\\' said Dr. Zakir, while calling on Muslims to dispel the media\\\'s vilifying of Muslims and the importance of having Muslim television channels and newspapers.
The speech was followed by a lively question-and-answer session in which Dr. Zakir dealt with questions from the audience on terrorism and comparative religion.

this is crap. you can't associate Christianity with terrorism because Christ said the old law of killing and punishment had been done away with. The Koran says none such thing.delta9edin (2008-06-27)

I concur with bodthedog - NO it doesn't. I found a file called 'Best Kept SECRETS Of Mysterious Societies' that shows how groups within the United States are using terrorism as well to reach their objectives. I suggest it to everyone.eternalquestion (2008-12-29)
I do not think this is crap.Where did >Christ< (Not Paul) say that the old law had been done away with?
Christ's mission: 3 years and a few, shaky followers, directly up against the ruling empire of the known world.
Muhammad's mission: 23 years, among constantly warring desert tribes (highlighted by diplomatic unity through Muhammad's leadership).
Perhaps it's possible to see Jesus' mission as trying to put the spirit back into the Law, the spirit which the legalistic and hypocritical Jewish leaders chose to overlook.
What would be the point of removing "written" laws in favour of some "esoteric" ones? Does it not only lead to people's free interpretation of whatever their own spirit feels is right?
I'd think a law infused with spirit is the goal (as Islam offers, and as it sees Christ's mission); soulless law and relativist whims tend to lead astray.
And God alone knows best.
