I have never heard of the file type PVA. I am downloading this torrent but have NO IDEA what I have to use to play it back. Can some one tell me before I waste all my bandwidth on a torrent I can not view?

You can namechange it to .mpg
and read this:

vlc (VideoLAN client) can also remove the odd .pva wrapper using the "export wizard", leaving mpeg2 streams which most any encoding program can parse. It can also play them, of course.
