Description:
As I've been creating this page, I've been listening to this show in detail for the first time. It's actually quite wonderful, and from the sound it seems it was intimate. Listen to Margo tell her story of a Starbucks visit in New York City before the band plays "A Common Disaster." When she introduces "Bea's Song (River Song Trilogy: part II), she says, "This is another song from the Lay It Down album. It's probably my favorite song to sing from that album," and before she can go on a woman in the audience yells "Bea's Song!" Margo sort of chuckles and says, "That's right!" It's wonderful to hear that sort of interaction, and very rare these days in our era or prepackaged artists.
This tour was in support of the "Miles from Our Home" album, a very underrated release. They did some interesting material off that album, like "Darkling Days," and a slightly mellower version of "Blue Guitar." This show also includes my favorite song off that album, "No Birds Today." Margo says that "Good Friday" is her favorite song to sing from the album before playing it.
The sound quality of the recording is mostly good, although you can hear some clipping during the latter half of "Lost My Driving Wheel" and "Hunted." Otherwise, I think it really captures the hall and what sounds like an incredibly intimate performance, one I wish I had been at!
I think this show is quite an lovely undiscovered gem; I hope you feel the same.

The comments above were taken from the website. The comments below are mine. You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with
your favorite decoder ( see
http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
) then write them to a CD with no gapsbetween the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live"
show.
When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from http://www.4thellamas.com/index.htm .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave permission.
