There didn't seem to be a decent PAL copy of this classic movie out there, so I ripped one from the DVD. I have a _very_ slow rural connection so can seed only for a limited time. Be grateful if some other seeders can help out. Thanx, this is easily the best quality version out there but it is a few minutes shorter than the official release so not sure what is missing and also hard to find a matched subtitle for it if you need them

I see what you mean about the duration mismatch (IMDB has it as 105 mins and this one runs for 102.5 mins). In my opinion nothing is missing. I've seen this movie about 5 times in different places/countries and AFAIK this is a complete version. My theory for the time mismatch is that this is a PAL copy running at 25 fps. The original film would have been running at 24 fps, thereby making it slightly longer.
As to the subtitle, I'll rip some.
@hilux1960 - I've watched this rip right through several times and the audio is absolutely fine (if it wasn't I'd not have upped it). Suggest you check your player. Works fine through VLC.

Language subs. Timings/sync are fine but I can't check the accuracy of the foreign subs cos don't speak the languages :)

There's another reason that could account for the time difference. Some films run slightly faster, others slightly slower. The speedup or slowdown are not detectable by the audience. Einstein told us of relativity too. No two different things ARE exactly alike. even the same thing is not always perceived the same way and thus is different.

I'm not understanding the negative comments either. I downloaded and watched it and everything works absolutely perfect. No sync or other audio issues and the video looks wonderful. Not sure if the negative comments are due to incorrect computer settings or what but this movie plays perfectly on my PC :)
