128kbps????!!!! Are you KIDDING ME?! Someone posted that this was the best. I don't listen to anything below 245kbps but I prefer 250 and that's when I even listen to MP3 format. I prefer FLAC or another lossless format. 128kbps is only good for bg noise.

It always irks me when someone says "I only listen to xxx kbps". I've been encoding mp3s for 11 years. I've been through almost every encoder there is... ISO, Fraunhofer, LAME, Radium modified Fraun, the list goes on. I can tell you that 128kbps on a good encoder can actually be hard, yes hard, to tell from the original source wav. I can also say that 128 on a good encoder sounds much better than 320 on a poor encoder (like Xing or early LAME). Needless to say, I'd rather know the encoder than the bitrate because it has so much more effect on the quality. There's a 192kbps Torrent of the same CD here floating around TPB and the quality isn't near what this one is. I'm with you, though... Gimme this in FLAC and we'll call it a day.
