Dear peeps, FLAC is lossless, and it keeps the source files whole and uncompressed which is better for trading. Pick up the free Traders Little Helper program or something to convert and compress FLAC files easily to any bit rate of .mp3 you want. As far as trading goes, lossless keeps the music the same as it is on the source CD. So, thanks for upping the FLAC here.

FLAC is the only way to upload files (and download them). Then do as you feel.

If you guys want FLAC to be CBR 320kbps then download a converter. There are free ones. Just make sure when you download that in the settings you make sure it's converting to 320

The reason FLAC is so valuable is because of the higher bitrate. However, with that high quality comes larger files. Look at the bitrate of flac compared to 320kbps. Depending on the song for example, the last song on this album, "You'll See It", goes from 320 to 1002kbps, that's a 3x increase.
HOWEVER, you will not notice a god damn difference in quality if all you have are made in china shit devices (ipod, sansa clip, sony earbuds, Beats headphones, etc). You need to have invested in some decent headphones (Sennheiser, Grado, Sure, Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic, etc) and either a Stereo Receiver (ONKYO, Pioneer, Yamaha, etc) or a Soundcard for your PC.
You need the right quality music (Flac), Amp/Receiver, and the right headphones, in order to notice the difference in sound quality, to hear the finer things, the details everyone else on their stupid ass ipods miss.
This is called being an Audiophile. And like being an auto aficiando, it's expensive, not for everyone, and requires a certain amount of knowledge on how things work.

FLAC is not looseless, it is useless ! I've done several tests on my snobby friends using FLAC and mp3 320 on great monitoring speakers...
... they couldn't tell the difference.
