Can someone do me a favor and see if there are any other modified files besides the EXE that Reloaded messed with? Should be modified after the date 12/1. I have a legit DLC but want the NO-CD function, however simply replacing the EXE just gives me an error when I try to go to Jakob's Cove. I'm guessing Reloaded patched more than the EXE but I'm not sure.

7zip reports a shitload of error messages (73 to be exact) after unraring the files into the install directory. Then game refuses to start due to missing dll file. Reloaded game is patched to 1.01 with reloaded crack.

I figured it out and posted my findings on the crack only torrent. Basically, the .umap files have been cracked as well. That's why I get crashes with just the cracked .exe. After replacing them, I've got the full NO-DVD function. But thanks for replying.

Hi, I followed the instructions. I first extracted the folder, and then copied it over to C:/Program Files/2K Games etc.
I overwrote the Binaries file already there. Now, whenever I try to start borderlands, I'm getting a TON of file not found errors and other stuff. Did I do something wrong? My game was working before this -_-

Ok, so I've started downloading a different torrent for this DLC, and there's a 200MB difference, no big deal, it'll be on off-peak. (Also, it would most likely occur due to the fact that it's rar'd.
However, I bought a legitimate hard copy of Borderlands (and patched legit with 1.01), I notice the Binaries/Borderlands.exe (in the torrent) is 27.9MB, whereas the 2Kgames\Gearbox (on my computer) is 33.6MB, would there be a need to patch it again with my 1.01 patcher, or does it not matter?

Okay, what the cock. I replaced each file manually, because I'm stupid and I'm not sure how to overwrite those files directly...also because I wasn't sure if I wanted to completely lose the old ones. Aaanyway, that COULD be the cause of my problem, but might now be...the problem is that about five minutes into arriving at Jakob's Cove, regardless of my activities there, the program and seemingly my whole computer freezes, playing the last half second of audio over and over while the screen goes black ("I am a friend of david-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d," like that). It doesn't happen in any other location, even after ten or so minutes of active play, and changing my graphics settings doesn't seem to affect it. HALP?

This is not accurate - even on the steam store it warns that it comes with SecuRom version five, and Borderlands doesn't run through steam's systems but rather Gamespy's - VAC doesn't come into the equation at any point.

SubGum - timing out whenever you try to connect to a server is pretty much par for the course for this game. Even legal retail versions have that issue.
What you need to do is find the ports the game uses either on the steam forums or gearbox forums and forward those in your router. After you do that you may still have problems so here's a ridiculous fix that shouldn't work, but somehow does: Just start a singleplayer game, actually get into a map then back all the way out to the main menu and suddenly you should be able to join most games (so long as the host has his ports forwarded as well).
The going into a game and then backing out also fixes some issues where only a few servers will show up on the in game server browser if you happen to experience that as well.
It's a pretty buggy piece of shit when it comes to networking and Gearbox's priorities are all screwed up - releasing addon pacs with DRM before they even patch away these crippling network issues for the retail product.

No, the game keeps some configuration files there (as many games do) but it's not the install directory (and yes that is needlessly complicated, no idea why game devs do it). More than likely, so long as you didn't change it before installing, your install Directory is something long the lines of C:\Program Files\Gearbox\Boarderlands If you got it through steam though it'll be in steam's directory under something like C:\program files\steam\steam apps\common\boarderlands

Well.. had to give a -1. The DLC content messed up my dynamic shadows. I reinstalled saving my savegames and all is back to normal at RELOADED patch 1.01. I could turn it off but... what the fuck, Fix it or forget it or better yet... buy it ..YES? BTW, I have tried to upgrade to patch 1.10... It didn't help.

Finally gave up on this damn DLC. I downloaded it already had the game patched, I put the files in there like I did with the patch and the game will no longer start. yes you will be able to play it online, even with a cracked copy of the game you can play it online, this isn't like games such as COD4 where you have to enter a registration key to install or play it online all you do is install the game (legit or not) and patch to the latest version, the only thing that will stop you from playing online is if you dont have a cracked .exe file to run the game and you encounter the insert CD error in which case either get the cracked exe from somewhere or if you bought the game insert your disk.
the game and game spy dont check anything to determine whether or not its a legit copy of the game or whether the DLC"s you have are legit it takes them at face value and passes them as legit. Unless you installed the DLC's incorrectly you can play them online with other people regardless of store-purchased, STEAM bought or cracked.

I have a legit copy of the game to support Bioware.
Will I be able to install this with a legit copy? Will I need to download the Razor crack? Or does this torrent include the crack?
I'm assuming that I will have to patch up to 1.0.1 with the reloaded patch and then install this DLC, correct?

@Cynite I have a legit copy and it appears to be working although I haven't loaded the new areas yet (just started on playthrough 2). I didn't add any additional cracks. I only added the files from this torrent (which doesn't mention cracks).
When I first started up the game I got a pop-up saying I just added Zombie Island and to go to the nearest New-U to load it. I've been running the game straight from the EXE and not from ST E.A.M. I haven't started ST E.A.M. since I added all of these files. I don't know if it will check the folders to see if the setup has changed or if files have been added so for now, I'll just start the game from the EXE to be safe.

Okay, weird problem. I have the Razor version of Borderlands and I have played beaten it. Now, when I copy the files from this torrent, or any of the other DLC's, the game doesn't start and I have to reinstall the whole thing. Very frustrating, any help?

OMG!! This works!! Just extract the first zip into your C:\Program Files\2K Games\Gearbox Software\Borderlands.I didn't patch i didn't update or anything just put the files.

Someone please help me! I have extracted the files and moved the DLC folder into "willowgame/CookedPC/" but when I go into a game NOTHING. I have also downloaded the 1.4.1 patch. Please help because my bandwidth its very low so I can't afford to go downloading everything!!!!
P.S. If it counts for anything at all I'm using the mac version and I am told the 'reloaded' DLC's work on the version I have. I can run the game smoothly but no trace of a DLC ingame. Helpeh!

I got error messages when using 7 zip to extract the dlc so I changed to winrar and I got access denied messages.I then ran winrar as administrator and it worked like a charm.I ran the game and a message popped up stating that the dlc was ready to use.Thanks reloaded you did it again.
