I don't know what VLC is, but I did download the Media Player Classic Home Cinema player, which someone suggested. It works perfectly now. Thanks so much to the uploader. Some little monsters don't have HBO, or even cable for that matter...lol.

You guys really need to become aware of the concept behind Dolby Digital 5.1 encoding. The video is great, the audio is a negative. Audio is detected through the front three channels, but absent from the rear channels. The center channel is to have dialog. This source presents it in both, the dialog and the music. The left and right channels should have music, instead vocal and music is detected. Sound just comes out of the left and right channels. If you are using Nero, forget it. Try Cyberlink Power Director. Let's not forget, your source needs to also have the Dolby Digital encoding.
