i have vista, and it stops at the third lvl in the jungle, and in many other scenes later in the game, i dont know where 2 buy it though :\
but the multiplayer kicks ass ;)

The game was made before Vista/Win7 was released so there are issues with the single player. This particular issue could be solved if you obtained the game saves for each level and placed them in your "Saves" folder in the Vietcong folder. This would allow you to skip that particular level.

vietcong.exe is falsely detected by AVG Anti-Virus and moved to the Virus Vault. If this occurs, restore vietcong.exe from the Virus vault and add it to your exception list.
Fist Alpha is an addon, to run the addon you must launch Vietcong, select Options - Custom Games - Addons - Fist Alpha - Activate.

If you use Vista or Win7:
Always run Vietcong as an administrator (right click - Run as Administrator) and give the program full privileges.
If Vietcong crashes after proceeding past Setup window then update your sound card driver.
If you get kicked out from Multiplayer games for HradBa Anti-Cheat code #138 or your game crashes when you call in an Airstrike during the Singleplayer campaign then download VCStarter:

If you get kicked out of Multiplayer games for a speedhack then open up your Task Manager - Processes - vietcong.exe - right-click - Set Affinity - uncheck box(es) so that only 1 CPU core is checked.

@AppleSinclair. This was my favorite game growing up and I would love to be able to play it again, however I' am having an issue. I run as admin, sounds drivers are updated. I click "vietcong.exe" and i get the setup menu asking for resolution, etc. When I hit ok the game launches for a brief second, just long enough to see the loading bar at the bottom and the game exits to desktop. I tried in windows 7 but it still doesn't work. Little help..?

If your game works with Sounds Disabled this means your sound drivers are to blame, try updating them to the latest version using the Device Manager.

Yes this game works 100% multiplayer and singleplayer.
Most of the multiplayer servers don't enable the Anti-Cheat protection because it conflicts with DirectX10+ however you can still play on them if you run this tool:

Thanks for the upload. I can't get it to work with the sounds enabled, though, I have Winows 7 64bit and onboard Realtek HD audio. I updated the driver from the official motherboard website and now it's listed simply as High Definition Audio. Tried changing from 16bit to 24bit, 44Hz to 192Hz, but doesn't work. Can anyone please help me with this?

To fix Singleplayer crashing and false-positive kick on Hradba anti-cheat enabled servers (caused by DirectX10 conflict) then download and run Vietcong using VCStarter 1.4 (3rd party tool made by a community dev):
Using VCStarter should basically fix all issues except for the common soundcard-related crashing issue which is a driver related issue and can be resolved by updating sound drivers or finding alternative drivers.
