Doesn't work. For the Exiled Prince, you should be finding a new quest in the middle of Hightown, I believe, which isn't happening. I remember for Dragon Age Origins you needed to run a program to decrypt the DLC, we'll probably have to wait till somebody creates one for this one, too.

Edit each manifest.xml for each dlc and remove the part that says RequiresAuthorization="0" completely.
The slightly altered it, but for the most part, most dlc's for dragon age 2 follow the same rules as for Dragon age 1.
Basically after the specific dlc data it should look like this..
ExtendedModuleUID="campaign_base" Priority="100" Enabled="1" State="2" Format="1" BioWare="0">
Boot up game and poof, activated and working.. :)

Yeah, they're still not showing up in the actual game itself. They're listed in the Downloadable Content menu, but the missions, items, characters, and the like aren't actually showing up at all when you play the game.

And just to note when i started the game i seen them pop up but havent played the game since so i'd have to confirm when i check the dlc out. I doubt it, I used the CloneDVD one, too, at first but it still didn't work. I switched over to the Reloaded version to see if it made any differences, but it didn't.

Just to clarify: when you say they pop up in-game, were they the actual dlc quest names, or were they the premium content quest names that get auto-added when you link your account? Because I linked everything up, but the dlc doesn't show up on the ea/bioware account (but the premium content does), and when I go in-game I have 4 new quest entries in the journal with the pop ups on the screen, but that's just the premium stuff too...

Well if you don't remove the authorization part, each one will show "Unauthorized" next to it's name on your downloaded content screen.

If you don't connect at least once to the EA servers it shows it as an "offer"

After that you get the quests after you start the game..
As for the "DA2 Not installed means you need to copy the entire cloneDVD Contents into the almost empty directory in C:\program files\blah blah.. Depending on what release you downloaded :)

to be able to install the dlc, simply launch DragonAge2Config.exe, and then go to repair and click all of the options there, it will basically add shortcuts & registry entries all by itself. You'll be able to then install the DLC's and HiRes textures afterwards. Hope it helps

I don't see how any of those would help activate DLC. And trying them out, they don't seem to help.

I used to get that connection error (I am using Theta crack...also I don't have the reloaded version, I d/l'd the "Dragon.Age.II.2011.PC-R.G.-KC.TV" one, mounted it and used a serial to install... and I can't find any mention of that torrent anywhere any more. Anyone happen to know if this is a bad version or something, and I should switch?? Anyway, back to the connection issue:), I had to manually add the DragonAge2 [.] exe to my firewall exceptions and it worked fine after that.
Just to make sure (I was a little confused with the original instructions), using black emporium as an example, are we supposed to be placing the manifest file directly into the da2_prc_one folder (if so, with or w/o the exe used to install it), or are we supposed to copy the "black emporium" folder that holds both of those files into that directory (would this even make a difference?) Sorry for the length, just trying to narrow things down and make sure everyone's on the same page.

Just download the RELOADED version and that's it, just to be safe.
About the DLC, it doesn't really matters because nothing works. The manifest.xml file should be placed inside the DLC folder (after installed) and that is it. You can change yourself the existing manifest.xml with notepad but it still will not work.

You don't need a decrypter just do as follows:
1. Download torrent
2. Install both DLCs
3. Go to where ever you installed them to and right click on manifest.xml and click edit using notepad.
4. Change requiresauthorization="1" to requiresauthorization="0"
5. Delete MID="200" leaving just one space between Bioware="1" and requiresauthorization="0"
6. Save, close, play

As repeatedly said, that does not work. All that does is make it show up in the game's Downloadable Content menu as installed. It doesn't allow you to actually recruit the characters, get the items, or play the missions in-game.

There is a russian decrypter, but it's work in progress. All unlocks work, but as for Emporium and Exiled Prince.. Not so much. And it's in russian ofc. I'd propably just give it a couple more hours. ;)

Just wanted to say that the activator I used earlier didn't unlock the DLC but only some of the bonus items.
Someone on NFOHUMP has managed to unlock the DLC using an activator though so hopefully we'll have something here soon.

Got the Exiled Prince and the Black Emporium to activate and work right. However, I'm having trouble with unlocking the special items. I put the unlockables.gba into the override folder and they're showing up as unlocked in the 'Extras - Unlockable' menu, but they aren't showing up in-game. Can anyone help?

What worked for me is that russian test-version thing (also posted couple pages before), but it worked only for signature stuff. Still can't make prince or emporium working...
Is there a difference where from you run those files? Maybe they should be inside each addon folder or something?

well yeah, except i already had DA2 installed in custom location, cracked, and all the epics already activated, so i moved to "run decrypt_dlc.bat" part.
But really, that's all the same i did before and i don't see a point to uninstall the game and do it all again unless someone can confirm it can help (i.e. who had it same way before and made it work after reinstalling).

i believe there's another 2-3 more quets to do, but i cannot find them

Well I did this: I installes Dragon Age 2 reloaded anc cracked it. Then I donwload this torrent and installed both DLC and overwrite both manifests. Then I dowload descrypter from Kaliver and run decrypt_dlc.bat. It told me than descryption was succesfull. Is that all? Cause I´can´t find exiled prince and black emporium. Some advice?? BIG THX

I tried all that and still nothing...the items are shown in Extras as unlocked but they are not in the chest.If someone knows how to unlocked the items on CLONEDVD version please post.

I have fiddled around with the decryptor and the russian program, I have managed to unlock a lot of "premium content" items, but what I really am trying to get is the black emporium. If you can, please help me out. I have the Clone dvd version, it didn't install to program files I don't think :S

OK IF YOUR HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE CLONEDVD FOR PRINCE AND BLACK EMP HERE IS A ANSWER.
K so i was breaking my head trying to figure out why the hell i was only getting the unlockable items and not the Prince and Empoirum.
Everytime i ran the batch file without admin it would say Dragone age 2 is running jerk or try running in admin. I would run in Admin and get this isnt a windows bla bla bla.
So before all this i had moved my the electronic arts folder in the clonedvd to Program file x86. I run windows 64bit.
Right Click your Electronic Arts folder. Go to the Security Tab. Make sure everything (like the name of your PC) has full control. I noticed mine didn't so i had to give it full control. After this run the batch file and Boom it should work.

Yeah its working.About that thing when it tells you that the game is not installed go to bin_ship and DragonAge2Config.Go to Repair and click everything.Then the DLCs will see the game as installed.

ive tried everything it just does not work. in game it says installed, but i see no new mail or any emporium on map.
also when running deda2drm.bat it says that its not recognized.
and cant edit manifest in da2_prc_seb say access denied. any one know why

I've done everything and the black emporium shows up on my map but when I try to go to it it says "Unable to load area" and takes me out to the main menu

Nevermind. In case someone else has the problem I just restarted the game after I tried to enter and it allowed me to accept the quests from the letters and enter the emporium. Good luck!

That one worked for me.Its a version 2 decrypter.I used it yesterday and it unlocked everything.I mean the items I had the DLCs working earlier.Actually I am missing only one item Ring of Whispers.I have everything else.Even signature edition items.Now I only need to find a way to get that ring.

Ok, just found something that worked for me. (note: had problems with activation BE/EP dlc's, nothing helped, even tho deda2drm had no errors running)

- is the same russian activator, but RC1 (not test6) version. It includes already installed 3 dlc, you just need to copy it first over whatever you installed before. Then run the thing, click first button - and it's done.

When ever I open the "deda2drm" file ( even as admin) it closes the second it opens. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. And i get the .erf JERK error from the bat. .
(My Dragon Age 2 install dir has full admin)

So i run the deda2drm.exe as admin then it pops up and closes and then i run th decrypt_dlc.bat and it tells me if im running the game (which im not) and and it tells me i may need to run deda2arm as admin (which i am)

HOW I GOT THIS SHIT TO WORK
=======================
1. Install DLC
2. Open manifest.mxl with notepad++
3. Replace the line RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0"
4. Play
Note: This will not work if you are using the regular notepad, you have to use notepad++.
Also, I'm using the reloaded version if that makes any difference.
Confirmed to be working for the Black Emporium and Exiled Prince DLC

thnx a lot extremezone -- , FOR THOSE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH INSTALLATION ---(this is a DETAILED explaination on how to install the patches --- simply
1-----copy the folders to the main dragon age II folder
2--- open the installer in each one of the two folders , install the packs (the useable (.exe) file) just keep doing next ,etc,..
3--- the go to the addins folder in the main DAII folder(directory) , you'll see that there are two folders made ,.. da2_prc_one AND da2_prc_seb ,,
4---go back to the downloaded folders COPy the MAINFEST file from the black emperor folder and paste it into the da2_prc_one folder AND Replace the old MANIFEST FILE --
5---- now copy the manifest file in the EXILED PRINCE folder and paste it in the da2_prc_seb folder and replace the old mainfest file -- and you Should be done --

This is how i did to make it work. Run the dragon age launcher as administrator then install the 2 DLCs. After that just follow hack_sparrow's instruction on copying the manifest.

Okay, Here's how I've gotten everything to work!
1st, download this torrent.

2nd, I've gotten down the DLC packs, The Black emporium, and The exiled prince. Get the original .exe ones.
3rd, I downloaded the latest 1.04 patch.

Next --
1. Install Dragon Age 2, the game. But don't crack it yet.
2. Install the DLCs, copy and replace the manifest.xmls, as stated in the instruction.
Alternatively, just change the line "requires authorization = 1" to "requires authorization = 0"
You must use Notepad ++ to achieve this or it work correctly.
3. Install 1.04 update, now crack the game.
4. Download this decrpter -

6. Disable universal account control, if using vista/win 7 and above for best results (you can on it back later).
7. Run the file that says "deda2drm.bat". All DLC will be unlocked.
8. Enjoy the game! (Remember to disconnect from the internet while playing, and uncheck options "Upload feedback" and all the other options which will make your game connect to EA's servers, in Dragon's age 2 configuration utility, in program files)
9. How to check if the DLC is unlocked? If you have Black emporium, a dog will appear at the start of the game, after you pick your facial appearance.
And in your journal, it will flash "premium content quest" for "the exiled prince" DLC.
