Ok to clarify the above instructions would require some sort of crack to be included in the rar. Which it isn't.
Maybe I'm just doing this whole BT thing wrong but my archive has two files: setup and GoogleSketchUp7.
Neither of these install any sort of cracked, hacked or time-free version of the software.

Uh, you'll find that there's a folder called "crack" containing a cracked executable to replace the program's original .exe after installation.

The torrent contains 1 file: an archive containing only 2 files (both of which are installation files)
Is it a hidden directory? Cause if so it's very well hidden.

PEOPLE!!! There is a difference between a "crack" and a "patch". This is a "crack".
1) Unrar the file
2) There are 2 main files, the setup and the crack (which is in the separate folder)
3) Install the setup file.
4)Once the installation is done, go to the "crack" folder and copy (Ctrl - C) the crack file.
5) Just paste it in the directory (C > program files > whereever it is). It will ask to replace and say yes and thats it.

tracked down the culprit.
Tugzip (even using rar.exe) wasn't extracting the file correctly. So much for foss.

I did just like the instructions. I used winrar to extract, then installed the program. I copied the crack and replaced the original.
But I still didnt get a licence and am on the 8 hour trial basis.
Any help appreciated.

THIS WORKS
In short follow everyone elses instructions but once you copy the crack file RUN IT AS ADMIN then type any user/key.
If you need details.......
1. Open File and Extract
Extract this before you comment there is not a crack because it puts it in a CRACK folder.
2. Copy the crack and replace the origional sketchup.exe file in the Google folder.
When it asks you to overwrite do it.
3. Here is the part nobody has included in there instructions that makes a difference.
Right click on the executable file you just copied and RUN AS ADMIN.
4. When it comes up type in anything in User/Key and it will be activated.

K I followed all of the directions and what have you, copied crack to the sketchup folder and replaced old .exe and ran as administrator

I understand how to install the program and have installed it on my desktop pc with XP, no problems at all.
When I go to install it on my laptop with vista, the program crashes the first time I try to save or save as.
I ran the installation as admin, and start the program as admin and have tried every compatability combination.
Anyone have any ideas?

When I use push/pull it just moves the plane it is not extracting it.

Second, for those having usage troubles, you probably need to disable hardware acceleration... Window->Preferences->OpenGl.

In Vista:
1. Unrar
2. Install setup.exe
3. copy the "setup.exe" file from crack folder and replace the one in the "C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 7" folder (or wherever you installed it)
4. right-click the sketup icon and click "Run as Administrator" in order for your Vista computer to change the sketchup serial numbers
5. enter any license name, serial, and authorization
When you run sketchup and don't see the EVALUATION at the title bar than it's successful

YAY got it to work. at first i was using Wizard to extract everything and follow all the instructions here but couldnt get the crack to work. This is what i did:
Opened winRar
Extracted crack folder
Extracted setup.exe
Installed using setup.exe (installed to Program Files Folder)
Copied file in the crack folder
Pasted in Program files/google sketchup folder...
Run as admin as instructed by egban above
Add license using watever name/license/authorization

After you have followed the simple instruction you MUST right click on the already patched .exe file and select "run as administrator" and then enter whatever name and serial number. Remember this "run as administrator" part is CRUCIAL for the program to work 100%.

LIKE most of people has said, IT WORKS !!
after 8 attemps, i finally got it, but i wasn`t using this torrent. BUT most are the same.
SO DO like every body is saying.
1- Once you download the rar file, RUN As ADMINISTRATOR
2- After completing the installation, COPY the exe. file and REPLACE IT on :
3- e.g. C:\Programs /or programs ( 86 )\google Sketchup 7)
4- After this is done. RUN for the first time the application thru the ICON LINK on your desktop, AGAIN as ADMINISTRATOR
5- It will open starting popup window to star, and INSER the SN & AC, with nay name . .

Oops...I stand corrected. Instead of launching SU7 from the program menu, I just right-clicked on the crack (after) replacing the original with the crack, entered the serials and reg code. All went well.
Say, there are folks in here that really should show some constraint. Not everybody is a genius to go easy on those folks that are having issues!
