how do i watch these onmy lg tv passive 3d tv from ps3 or laptop- do i need special software to play them?

1. Use HDMI
2. VLC works for me, just put the screen resulution to full HD.
3. If VLC does not work, use CyberLink PowerDVD.
Works great with my LG tv.

i tried it with hdmi vlc and no luck it still shows as side by side and then when i play with stereoscopic player it does not work. can someone please help=- i am using lg passive tv and plugging in via hdmi- also do i need to put it in 3d mode on tv to watch or is that only for 2d to 3d conversions- i thought i should just play it via hdmi and then it should work as the tv should automatically recignise it is 3d

i tried this but still shows side by side and does tv even with 3d mode does not allow me to select side by side as source so it shows as 3d but with the side by side image still on the screen

if its side by side! u gotta pick that option on your TV and full screen! and it will work

Use a 3D Movie Player like TriDef 3D, i use it to play the 3D Movies on my 3D DLP Projector :) greetz.

to all those who have trouble figuring out how to play these movies, most 3d tvs have a usb input. these tvs come with built in video codecs. especially lg 3dtvs. all you have to do is load these movies on your favorite usb storage device, whether that be a flashdrive or external hdd. you have to have your drive formated for NTFS allocation. tested with multiple tvs and proven to work. my tv is a lg 3dtv, and will natively play almost all video formats including the highly coveted matroska(.mkv) files. good luck to all and enjoy!
