Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred 10 / 100% working with Serial Disconnect Internet during set-up and then block from access to the internet through firewall or virus protection. Call back will ban the serial number. Works GREAT!!! From the Iowa Surfer, On the web since Commodore 64!!

less than 3 hours. Just follow the simple direction of disconnecting from the internet, choosing "print" option for activation, and don't allow automatic program updating when asked. Oh, and the program is pretty good. It was quite accurate even with my laptop's built-in mic. I will post again if any issues.

One more thing. At some point in the setup/activation process it failed (code was unacceptable or something) and gave a warning of only 5 uses before activation required. However, I have run the program over a dozen times and no problems yet.

I am running windows 7 and having a problem with the installation. any help would be great!
when i try to run the install it says "Visual C++ runtime must be installed before running DragonNaturally Speaking installation. Please run setup.exe from the installation source."
any suggestions?

This torrent works fine, any issues are just software issues that paid version users had too.
If you got a C++ runtime install issue, this worked 100% for me

All I did was:
Download the following files to a location on your system (this is a fix from Nuance).

Extract "DragonInstall.zip" to a location on your system. All files must be placed in the same uncompressed location (like a new folder on your desktop). Don't worry, they are not viruses, as they come from Nuances website, but scan them anyways.
1. Burn the ISO to s DVD ? (or Double click the ISO file to get Nero to auto burn it).
2. Open the "DragonInstall" folder- Double click the "install_vcruntime.vbs" file and follow the installation through to the end. This will Install the Visual C++ 8.0 that it has an issue with (NOTE: at this point the computer may need to be Shut Down and left off for a few minutes (not just restarted, do it just to be sure)
3. Put the disk into the drive (note which one ? mine was ?F?)
4. Block internet access (block all traffic and/or turn off modem)
5. In the same ?DragonInstall? folder, double click the "install_dragon.vbs" file. This will start the install (without the C+= crap), when it asks where the install DVD is, tell it the drive
6. Install using the key that is in the wordpad file in the torrent (during the installation say ?NO? to any automatic updates etc)
7. After installation block internet access for any/all Nuance / Naturally Speaking apps on your Firewall app. Or do so as they attempt to use outbound connection (call home feature will blacklist shared keys if/when it gets internet access.) Before you turn the internet back on Check your firewall and make sure any NEW application has to ask your permission for internet access (and say NO to anything to do with Dragon / Nuance etc)
That should be it.

I am also blind/visualy impaired. You should have no conflict between Dragon Naturally Speaking and ZoomText. Although personally you would probably be better off with JAWS or Windows Eyes. If you want me to upload either of these just leave a comment and I will see to it that you get one or both of the above. Thanks
