Okay I downloaded this, then installed it with the program in setup folder, went to help/enter license and entered without the qoutes of course, and says "invalid license info"
What step did I miss? (yes I also entered a random username)

Wow, isn't this a sad state of warez. I havn't been able to find a valid cracked version of xilisofts encoder on tpb since v6.0.3.0416 . This one is no exception, the crack does nothing. I copied the .dll over and the program behaves the same. It ask for a serial and connects to the web site to verify it. if you try it without being connected then it will fail with a network error.

This crack only seems to work for a few hours and then the program becomes unregistered again. I can re-register it after that.
