Black Books Complete Collection 1 - 3 [physixmaster]

Bernard Black runs his own bookshop even though he doesn't much like people who buy books and hates having customers. Next door to Bernard's shop is the Nifty Gifty gift shop run by Fran, probably Bernard's only friend in the world. When Bernard's accountant goes on the run Bernard employs stress victim, Manny to help in his shop. This leads to a series of surreal adventures around the shop. Written by PH Moo Meet Bernard Black. Bernard is an anti-social, heavy drinking chain-smoker who owns a small London bookshop - an unusual vocation, given that he detests customers and delights in physically and verbally abusing them at every opportunity. His best (and only) friend in the world is his lunch time drinking partner Fran, a neurotic and boyfriend-desperate woman who owns the pretentious arts and crafts shop next to his. Bernard is cynical, abrasive and lazy, and is perfectly happy that way - but his life takes an unexpected turn when he sells 'The Little Book of Calm' to hyper-stressed accountant Manny Bianco, who against all odds ends up swallowing it. When the dust is settled, Manny will have a new job, Fran will have a new friend, and Bernard's life will be far more surreal (if that's possible) This is a far higher resoultion with the correct aspect ratio than my previous torrent as I had complaints. I have also included all the extras (Deleted Scenes etc) for good measure. ENJOY! It will be seeded... forever.

I've watched 8 minutes of this show, felt like an hour. The horror, the horror..... at least Benny Hill had good looking chicks in bikinis to go with his lame ass humor. And Hill's humor war far superior to that of this show.... I find it very hard to describe just how crappy this show is. People with brains, be warned.

im from the u.s. and i have recently seen this show for the first time, i watched the first season in one sitting (thanks to HULU). I also watched all seasons of Peep Show in 2 weeks! I like our american style of comedy quite a bit also. UK style of comedy might be alittle too much on the nose for some americans and maybe too slapsticky. Its too bad that you can only see these shows on hulu or piratebay around here, but atleast we get Dr.Who wich is awesome. goodluck all

UK comedy has always been awesome. They're always bringing something new to the table and even the old stuff such as "Black Books" is still great even years after it first aired on TV.
The biggest problem with US comedy apart from being very predictable is it's way too moralistic. I know you don't live in a free country where you can say whatever you want but if you could at least F some things up and make your comedies less conservative we'd really appreciate it. An F-word or something really absurd or extreme would really be great. Maybe HBO can air something that's not as stupid as for example The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family or the worst show of them all; The Middle.

@arth0reen, You're right but theres also a lot of british shit. Now this is coming from borderline xenophobe, The US has a lot of brilliant intelligent shows (King of the Hill comes to mind). I was mortified when they made a US version of The Office... If you haven't seen it D/L Idiocracy, Its a great movie that although its a comedy its also scary how true things might turn out.
