The band had grown from a union of vocalist Tommy Lee Flood and bassist Chuck Hopkins of THE LICK, guitarist Terry Dunn and CRYPT KEEPER drummer Kent Burnham. As BANSHEE the quartet cut an EP released through Metal Blade Records which soon fired Atlantic to make a move. Hopkins would depart, having his position filled by Bill Westfall. Post BANSHEE Flood, Westfall and Burnham evolved into PRIMAL ORDER releasing the 'Meat' album.
