I burned the .iso file onto a CD as a disk image and then attempted to install on my PC. Everything works perfectly, except that it asks for a serial key, which I don?t have (I?ve attempted to use the various serial keys that people post in comments, but none of them seem to work). I tried the installation several times. Also, I was unable to download the crack you suggested because apparently the ?folder contains no files.? Maybe it?s just my computer.

Worked perfectly~!! I did a fresh install from a CD by burning this ISO. Although, It DID ask me for a serial.I just used the magic jellybean prog to locate the Serial of my existing XP SP2 and used that. Thanks a ton Goldfish! I'll keep seeding. :)

Guys... I found a solution to my problem... You can't slipstream XP SP3 on a Vista machine and incorporate a VLK (serial key) its a bug... That is why you are all being asked for serial keys...
I will fix this in my upcoming fully updated XP SP3 download complete with all updates up to December 2008 :)

I think that is something to do with how you have burned the .iso file... maybe the disc is damaged?... it works perfectly.. check the rest of the comments...

To install over Vista you would have to format so you could not restore withouth the original Vista disc...

You are always best backing up just in case... as it just a service pack though I would recommend formatting then installing (although that would require you to backup all your data)...

It's magic jelly bean key finder cracked... it is a folse positive... but it will not execute unless you open it anyway... so even if you do not believe me you are safe...
Also you could just remove it from the .iso before burning... up to you... I only upload clean stuff :)

This copy has issues once burned on to CD. I used 3 different burning methods, altering settings along the way to get the best possible burn and every time it comes up during the installation with the same error:
"File wmvxxxx.dll could not be copied, would you like to try again or cancel?"
Burned it with Nero 9 at 4x, burned it in plain old windows xp pro at 2x, and burned it in OS X at 24x : same error every single disk.

If you install from within windows (as in put in the CD while running windows) that should do an upgrade/repair.... if you boot from the CD though that will result in a clean install.. up to you :)

Second the updated version is on hold.. i have exams and revision to do... but it WILL be out before the new year so long as i can get it working 100% :)
Finally as far as i am aware some people have mounted and installed fine but i would recomend burning a copy incase the install goes tits up and you need to start again... up to you i guess...

Just as advertised, no hassles, no serial, no ativation, got ALL updates, media player 11, and ie7, then went back and got more updates, the works. No problems. Just DON'T install the wga notification thing from the updates. This version installs quick, then loads really quick too. NICE. A few tips to help others. For mac bootcampers, the name has to be the same as a real xp disk for it to be recognized by boot camp if I remember right (I also own macs with boot camp).
As for people who can't get the disk to boot:
Get NERO or poweriso or something that can burn an iso into a bootable cd.
Nero: Recorder>Burn Image (if the new compilation screen comes up cancel that, you don't need it.)
You are NOT burning a data cd here people, but burning an ISO to a bootable cd.
Again, this is the best XP torrent I have ever seen, major props to Goldfish. Get it before it is banned by MS. You won't need a serial, no activation, no crack, nothing. Just DO NOT download / install the WGA notifier from microsoft, that is the evil creature that phones home to MS to rat you out. If you want to be safe, download the WGA notification finder program to make sure it isn't on your machine. I did this just to be safe after I was all done because I have heard they sneak it in sometimes with deceptive update names.

All it skips is entering the serial and the chosen location (USA by default but can be changed once installed...)
SP3 has been slip streamed in but that is the only change so it is an untampered XP install.

This is my own version started as SP2 and has been slipstreamed with SP3... it comes with a VLK and as such passes all validation meaning you can get all updates once installed... :)

Worked smooth, i downloaded the file, burned with poweriso and installed on my laptop, after the initial setup (formatting drive and choosing where to install) i didnt have to anything. When i came back it was in windows and now i've just installed for first updates, no problems whatsoever.

Goldfish_92....downloaded your torrent...installed it in D Drive as i have Win Vista Ultimate loaded in C Drive.But the problem is after i installed xp pro sp3 ,it became default and started booting automatically.So,i booted my Vista DVD and repaired using start up repair...and restarted.

Does the Office 2007 Enterprise that you have work well with this? Will it pass WGA / OGA as well? I have a copy of Office XP, but I don't know if it will get detected by WGA when I update this OS at MS updates.

Well, whenever I test my office it appears to pass OGA so I would say yes... but apparently some people have had problems.... If it doesn't pass then you can always download a patch which are readily available, I could even give you a link :P

I installed the Office `07 and it worked flawlessly as well - including OGA & updates! The only problem I have is that when it first starts up, I get the safe mode screen and it asks which OS I want to start, then it lists Win XP Pro twice?? There was XP on before but I reformatted the partiton and installed this over it. Any idea what causes this? If I do nothing, after about 25 seconds it selects the first one and boots up. Thx again!

i would just like to point out that when i upgraded to SP3 that some programs for sp2 that were later installed did not work. i dunno if there has been any updates on it but that could happen.

With PowerISO you just double click the .iso file and it should open it. Then click 'burn' at the top, select the lowest speed possible and check 'verification' that should work :)

You can set the language to Swedish yes but do you need a language pack to change the GUI interface language... either way if you can find the language pack it will install :)

First restart and enter your BIOS (it flashed up when you first turn your PC on... hit 'del' or summet like that) then go to Boot Device Priority and set it to your CD drive, F10 to save and restart and make sure the CD is in the drive...

Hmmm... i think if you keep it in the same folder it might share it with others.. to be sure you could download uTorrent, download this torrent file again and then tell it when the dialogue box opens to save in the folder, it will check it, realise it has already downloaded and then just seed :) Thnx

Ok i installed this and was very pleased that it works great, but there is one problem that i cant seem to figure out. After installing the new os i of course had to put my programs back on my pc and everyone who knows anything about a torrent site knows how important utorrent or bit torrent or whatever they use to download torrents can be but for some damn reason i can not get any of them to work for me now. I have tried different ones, uninstall and reinstall, and still they will not actually start downloads. in fact, they just quit responding shortly after opening them. the only thing that will work for torrents now is limewire and we all know how much slower and crappier than utorrent or whatever. SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INPUT ON WHY I HAVE THIS PROBLEM SINCE INSTALLING THIS OS. Thanks to all that take the time to help.

Ok, scanned it with Kaspersky Internet Security 2009; Two minor risks were found:

Both are rated as RiskWare (NOT a virus) and identified as PSWTools(Win32.RAS.a/g).
But it seems like that it's only the activators/"keyfinders". And KiS 2009 is as a matter of fact extremely aggressive, so this SHOULD be a "False positive" ;-)

Yup, that is magic jelly bean keyfind.. it finds your current serial key and so obviously because it is a key finder shows as a false positive... You can delete it from the .iso if you wish... (but then you will no longer be able to seed :( )

You need to burn to a CD so that if you browsed it you will see the files... not the .iso...
(If you have PowerISO just double click the .iso file and burn what it opens :)

You will need to back up everything to some removable media (DVD's, external HDD..) Then boot off the CD and do a clean install... And there are plenty of vista like skins out there... have a google :P

SATA Problem?
If during installation your windows xp says "setup could not detect hard disk drive" you are probably missing AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) for SATA drives. You should download drivers from your pc vendor site. Mine was Fujitsu-Siemens. Then download nLite and read this manual:

Perfect. I had two hard drives on my Vista machine. I installed this on the unused drive then formatted and repartitioned the other to get back the 10 gig recovery partition created by Vista.
If you are downgrading from Vista to XP, GET YOUR DRIVERS!!
Download them and make sure they are for XP. Also its not a bad idea to do a little research and find out what order to install them in. I can't thank you enough Goldfish!!

Anyway, the original reason for I wanted to change my Vista for XP is that the games on the notebook (like most wanted and call of duty 2) have poor quality, the motion is really slow. I thought that if I put an XP on the notebook intead of the Vista it would solve the problem but unfortunatelly I can't do that. Windows checks for an intel/amd processor just like OS X, which do used to check for mac processors before installing. Apple removed that in tiger & leopard. But programmers have cracked OS X so that it installs on any computers & i hv installed Tiger 10.4.8 & Leopard 10.5.5 in my AMD. I tried to install Boot Camp in both but faced some errors. so i have not tried windows with the bootcamp but i am sure that an intel based mac can install windows, unless u have a Windows CD. Try searching the forums for mac-intel called hackintosh & if u cant find then feel free to post a comment.

This is Windows XP SP 2, but with some modifications this iso has been made to SP3. Works like an original xp... this cd name is win xp sp3 build 2600.5512 if i am not mistaken.

Ok I burned this on 2 different CDs one with Alcohol and one with PowerISO. I double clicked the ISO on both programs and then went straight to burn. I checked the CDs and they have all the information on them. I went to install this into the previously stated computer and when it gets to the screen that should say "press any key to boot from CD" I get nothing but a blinking white cursor.
I have an old Dell re-installation XP CD and popped that in to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the CD player and that CD went straight to boot.
Any help, ideas, suggestions?

Make sure you have the correct ports open on your router/modem. That will increase your DL speed, if u use Utorrent for your bit torrents, u can go to options, speed guide, then test if port is forwarded properly, if it is not it will give you a link to a site that will show you how to open your ports, or you can pay to have them do it for you for fairly cheap (I prefer to learn it myself) Hope this helps with your speeds GL

Thanks Goldfish this worked awesome, I actually downloaded it once before and had no luck with it, the cd wouldn't boot from the disk, but after reading through some of the comments I realized my problem was actually in how I burnt the disc, I had burnt it as data the first time. For anyone having that problem using nero you want to use nero burning rom not nero express. Hope that helps, if you have problems with something scroll thru the comments, u can usually find a solution there!

I have several times in emails and comments... its a false positive... it finds your windows key so obviously it flags as a trojan... You can delete it from the .iso if you wish and it will not exectute unless you open it... Remove the disc after a clean install and run a scan.. I gaurantee it will be clean...

You can boot off of a USB thumb drive if your motherboard supports it... I assume you would just copy the contents of my .iso onto a thumb drive and use that as it contains all the files that start auto boot... look for some guides on-line maybe :)

On my first attempt to install this, it froze at 39 minutes. I shut down the computer, reformatted the hardrive, and then tried again and this time it worked fine. It most likely froze because I am on a hackintosh running Windows XP in Virtual Box so there were probably some inconsistencies.

It happened right after the first blue screen where it loads a variety of drivers and other stuff to prepare for installation, it didnt reach the partition screen.

Ok I've googled it now and found a solution, had to change some setting in BIOS (something with the harddisk AHCI or something, don't know exactly but I read that as a solution somewhere and just looked for a setting in bios with AHCI in its name and changed that and worked :>).
Now its installing :). Will report later if it works.

thank you for this torrent. I installed this today and it worked like a charm. Doesnt seem to be asking for any activation as yet. However, my internet seems to working on and off (i've installed all device specific drivers). Earlier I had another copy of XP which wasnt getting activated and the Wifi and the Internet worked just fine then. Also under Start -> Settings -> Network Connections there is something called as Internet Connection which always shows Disabled. Now the internet seems to be working fine on the other computers on the same wifi network except this one. Can any one help?

The installation processes should not ask you for a serial number at any time, and there are no errors during installation (I have installed this twice now). Make sure you burn your ISO to disk at the lowest possible speed to eliminate errors.

If you have issues with a key, check the unattended.txt file located in the disk/iso Its located at X:\I386\Unattended.txt
There is a product key in there.
where X is the directory of the disk, or the root of the iso.

Thank you Goldfish_92. The installation went by and did its thing, no errors, no request for a cd key...
However, if you are using an HP laptop that came preinstalled with Vista(crap) then you will have trouble getting the right drivers.
Some of the drivers HP has work with XP but the video drivers don't. So you are going to have to use your googling skills to find the proper forceware driver for your card.
Also make sure you get all the drivers and put them on a separate disc before install. With that aside... Great torrent!

This download did not work for me. I burned it at 4 speed to a CD. The CD is bootable. So no problem with the CD burn. However, the installation did ask me for a serial key. Which I had a few, so I entered one and it continued. However, it will not install because at the very end of copying over the installation files it fails because it says it can not find one of the installation files. So I tried the wait a few minuets and click RETRY trick that someone suggested on here....nope. Does not work. You can wait for eternity and click RETRY all you want and it will not get rid of the error. Only thing you can do is SKIP file (which eventually does not work either) or CANCEL setup which means you can not not install.
So, perhaps this is working on certains machines/setups but on mine it does not work.
Any ideas?

And to all you getting errors: I got a lot of errors aswell the first time I tried it, but the problem was easily solved by changing how the disc was burned.
I urge you to use nLite (I was forced to use it since I slipstreamed the s-ata controller driver into the installation) and unpacking this ISO somewhere on your harddrive. Then open the folder in nLite and choose to make a ISO, before you choose to burn it (use quality cds and the lowest burn speed possible). I hope this helps the ones out there who get errors during the installation :-)

I woul just like to say i very big thanks to you Goldfish. You have some great torrents and this is the best. My system originally xp home was max'd out on memory and had all sorts of problems after 5 years of use. I did a fresh install formatted hard drive and installed this with no problems at all and updates with no fuss, passes all validation. When i unplug the power to my internet then plug it back in, i open up a browser right after when it's down connecting. then, page error, something about calling Cox to reinstate my internet for having a fake Windows XP SP3 .. they said something about me getting into serious trouble cos Microsoft complained. TWICE.
can't believe that happened. i don't know if this happened to anyone else, but this happening to me twice is just really dumb when there's probably half this whole country using a Copied/Bootlegged version of Windows.

I notice that every time I shut down and restart the computer, the timer goes back to year 2002. That of course creates lots of issues with the virus program and a problem to browse the net.
When I synchronize the date/time I get an error message, that the time needs to be first updated manually and then synchronized.
Is there a work around this issue?
So that I don't have to update the date/time every time i start up?

1. the keyfinder.exe file is not a virus (IT IS A FALSE POSITIVE) check it in google if you don't want to believe me.

I have also had a hal dll error message when doing a dual boot manager installation - its a corrupted or missing file - use a disc utility to sort it out.

3A windows will show, click on the option where it says "Write image file do disk"
4 Be sure to have a CD or DVD (XP fits on a CD) on your CD-tray.
5When you click "write image file etc.." a new window appears. Click the little folder with a magnifing glass in the section "Source"
6 Look for the windows XP file you downloaded and click open.
7Finally click on the bottom image "Write"
Just wait a few minutes and done. Reboot from the CD.

So if i just install winxp from the window that pops when i insert the disc (without usuall format) this will overwrite my current windowsxp? is it like formating?

whoever has a problem with cr iso . imgburn etc can use WINtoFLASH software ( download from cnet) to boot from pendrive . it has a good user interface and it works perfectly.

Trying to use Imgburn to burn the iso but I'm a little confused, new to this. If you have win7 then probably you must change settings in bios. In section "Advanced" change Sata from acpi to ata or disable and then try to install winXP.

I've tired this on imgburn and poweriso and it says im missing files, between 20-30 by 65%. This is what I've tried..
IMGBURN >> open >> write image file to disk >> picked out the .iso from my utorrent download >> then clicked BURN. (( I've tried it at Max Speed, 3x speed, 48x and 8x)) out of the 5 times, 3 didn't work and 2 worked but said missing files during instillation.
PowerISO: open the program >> open >> choose .iso file from torrent download >> BURN >> speed (ive done max and 48) those are the only two options I have -- and with everyone it has said missing files. multiple files.
I also tried downloading TWO other XPs and trying both, and they ALL say missing files. What am I doing wrong??? Someone please help me.

After four years of upload, still works and remains activated. However, it is missing two things. First, Sata drivers, without which it cannot be installed on newer hard disks. Second, latest updates, after fours years updates are huge. If somebody could integrate these, then it would would be perfect.

By the looks of the comments not a lot of people have done their research on XP and its drawbacks.
To start, XP does NOT contain all drivers for all hardware meaning most of your install will require 3rd party drivers (manufacturer of said piece of hardware) and has always been this way.
If you mount the iso virtually (emulated the drive and did not burn the disc) and attempt an upgrade the emulated drive no longer exists for a restart.
Slipstreaming updates into an iso is not as easy as you would think (updated W.update catalog feature is broken since MS dropped support for pre-sp3) and quite honestly is not worth the hassle.
If you are on anything but SP3 the recovery functions are the same across the board (SP2 and prior users can use the recovery option of SP3 disc).
For people submitting requests for assistance the trick to getting a response is to include more info! In a perfect world I would want a second-by-second recount of everything you so much as breathed on, ie.

*What operating system are you currently using?
File errors (copying, corrupted, not found... etc.) are generally due to either a bad burn (don't play loud music next to your sensitive laser burning bumps on a piece of plastic), bad media (scratched CD), or a bad download (yes this happens for any number of reasons).
To people asking about USB installs, there is software (WINtoFLASH comes to mind) that will convert this and slap it on a prep'd stick (assuming you want flash USB and not external) but you may experience an odd error needing a registry entry fixed (while ago since I experienced but it is due to slipstreaming SP3 into installation... I am unsure how these dev's put image together)
*In addition your motherboard must support USB boot devices and be enabled to do so (would be surprised to not see that function in a drive-less system ie. netbook)
I doubt I will be checking this comments list again unless I delete iso and need to DL again but hopefully this was of some help to people... My download just finished so its time to repair this poor laptop beside me. Happy torrenting guys :D

While installing it asked if I want to register this copy of windows on which I answered not now and skipped this. Then when I downloaded and installed all the updates from microsoft official webpage and restarted the computer a window appeared and proposed to install some windows genuineness checking software. I refused. So what I asking is whether should I somehow activate or register this copy or it will work fine as it is. Will I be needing serial or whatever in future? OKAY! It took me almost a day to get this to work.
First off, I had a hp compaq nx6310 laptop, a very old hp laptop from 2004.
I had windows xp installed on it previously, then i had ubuntu running on it for a few months.
I hated ubuntu so I was trying to switch back to this.
I tried to create a bootable usb drive, and I failed. It may be because of how old my computer was, and the fact that my computer wouldnt boot newer flashdrives.
I downloaded the torrent, saved it on desktop, opened it in the latest version of power iso and clicked the burn icon found in power iso. I burned this to a blank cd-r.
In the mean time erased everything on my hard drive by restarting the computer(because it had a linux system installed onto it), pressed F10 during startup (this button might be different on your computer) to get me into the setup area of the computer (where you enable/disable things) and I used disk sanitizer to erase everything on the harddrive.
When my bootable windows xp CD repeatedly failed I'd get the message "Hard drive not found. Press F3 to exit setup"
This problem was fixed by restarting the computer, pressing F10, and disabling SATA.
Once SATA was disabled the laptop booted from the CD just fine.
From a different computer I typed in my computers make and model into google , and from my laptop's model's website I downloaded all the drivers that related to the internet.
I transferred the .exe version of these drivers, from my computer, to a usb drive, and then from the usb drive to my laptop. Clicked on each .exe application and downloaded the drivers.
Now my internet works, and I'm currently updating the laptop with windows updates.
SO MY ADVICE TO EVERYONE HAVING PROBLEMS
Download this file
Do not touch it, leave it the way it is.
Burn it to a usb or a cd disc
If the usb isnt booting, it may be a problem with the usb, your computer's ability to boot from that/all usbs, or something happened to the iso file during download.
Also, go into setup when the computer is starting up and mess with the boot order to make your cd/usb boot first.
If windows setup says no hard disk found, disable sata.
And if things still dont work, type the exact error, or problem you're having into google.
I guarantee you there are other people out there with that problem, or a guide on how to fix it.

Hey people.. I was hoping you folks could help me..
I was previously on ubuntu 12.04 and now that school starts again, I thought it wise to switch back to XP.. But I've run into a couple of problems here..
- I used wintoflash and successfully made a bootable usb. But when I tried installing, it gave me a bootmgr not found error.
- I tried once more, and this time I ended up on a screen that showed me some options. They were - set up in text mode, set up in gui mode, and various debug options.
- Tried using the gui setup option, but it gave me a hal.dll not found error.
- I also tried using the text only setup, it took me through the process, but it didn't show me the EULA agreement..
- It is currently installing using the text mode, I will report back if I encounter any other problems..
So, am I missing out on something, or doing something incorrectly? Please let me know, I require Office for school badly :(
And to anyone who is asking, my laptop is a clunker from 2003 (Compaq Presario M2000)

Some extra info which may be helpful:
I have an old HP Pavillion pc with Home. I dl'd this iso and burned it to a disk. I started the comp and pressed F1 which took me to the boot options where I changed the dvd drive to the #1 boot device. Done.
Started the comp and it booted from the Pro disk and all the options come up, I chose to delete the C drive partition which meant all the space on the drive was now unallocated then I installed Pro, no activation needed, a clean install but as I said I had no sound, I went to the HP website where their support section has a page where you wait while it installs a bit of software on your machine which scans for their products and then it presented me with a list of links for all the drivers I needed, one in particular was the audio driver package....now shes running sweet as.

Hello,
I had two failed burns and managed to get it right the third time. Used Nero once to burn to a CD and Imgburn twice to burn to an DVD. Succeeded on 2nd attempt with IMGBURN. Installed the Win XP Pro SP3 OS using this ISO and Oracle sucessfully. Did a clean install, instead of dual booting with WIN7 and wasn't prompted for CD-Key. No activation was needed either.

I have set windows updates to off. Will see how things go.

This works well on a parallels virtual machine on Mac OSX.
However, when updating, I got a polite message that the installation had been identified as pirated and a nag screen would appear at future updates until it was legally activated.
I don't know enough about Windows to say if this is a problem or not.
I only needed Windows for one bit of software anyway and it doesn't matter if it's updated, so I created another virtual machine with this XP and blocked all outgoing connections from it with Little Snitch.

Hi guys!!
I'm trying to install it on a Western Digital 40GB IDE / ATA hard drive for another computer (unfortunately, I am unable to install it directly on a second computer because there is only a CD drive and I have burned it on DVD disc). So I plugged the WD40GB to my computer and started the installation. Everything went well from the beginning. The disc booted, the installer also launched. I chose the drive, format it (NTFS quick), the installer has copied the files and rebooted the computer. Now comes the problem, because when normally the installer should continue installing system I get the error "NTRLD is missing" and I can not do anything. I even tried out different copy of Windows and still the same. Also checked various master/slave/cs variants and nothing. Can anyone help me? ;c

@lastjedi there is definitely a .iso file in there i just downloaded it and i burnt it to a dvd-r and it booted up just fine you might try to redownload it and you should find a folder named Windows XP Pro SP3 - Activated and inside that folder is WXPVOL_EN.iso that is the .iso you need to burn to disk hope i could help

are you sure your winrar isnt set up to open .iso files therefore would show a winrar icon on the .iso? try burning the WXPVOL_EN file anyway cuz what you extracted and listed are the contents of the .iso

you can go to my computer press ALT+T then folder options then click the view tab and UnCheck the "Hide extensions for known file types" then click Ok then it will always show you the types of files by the extensions maybe winrar is hiding the .iso extension for some reason and takes a winrar icon since winrar is able to open it so that winrar file your talking about is .iso
