Pro/ENGINEER is a mechanical engineering and design CAD tool which was created by Dr. Samuel P. Geisberg, with help from some colleagues, in 1988, capable of creating complex 3D models, assemblies, and 2D measured drawings. It originally caused a major change in the CAD industry when first released by introducing the concept of Parametric Modeling. Rather than models being constructed like a mound of clay with pieces being added or removed to make changes, the user constructs the model as a list of features, which are stored by the program and can be used to change the model by modifying, reordering, or removing them. Pro/ENGINEER is considered a part of the \'High End\' 3d CAD modeling packages. Pro/ENGINEER outputs consist of solid model data for tooling and rapid prototyping, CNC manufacturing, and finite element analysis. A product and its entire Bill of Materials can be modeled accurately with fully associative engineering drawings, and revision control information. It is compatible with Unix-variants, Linux and Windows. All data is interchangeable between these platforms without conversion. PTC have also released a version of the program called Pro/DESKTOP that is marketed towards small businesses and schools who want to incorporate a low-cost CAD package to their curriculum.

Hey stuntman84,this file does not exist,when patch ask you to search file just skip this step,press cancle,and patch will crack other files,don't worry,this have no effects on crack.I think that this file exist only in full installation.After that see on the bottom of the patch window and there you will find "patch successful".

c:\program files\proe4,go inside this folder with double klick with your mouse and find another folder "bin".Again go inside ''bin'' folder and there find ''proev.bat".Mark this file and klick open,now you have a text version of .bat file.
At the bottom of this text file you will see this:

Hey ivan, I have installed the full complete package and when i run the crack, it pretty much can't find any of the files. I canceled and then it said patch complete. However, I'm not sure about all the missing files. In addition, I too can't find the proev.bat. there is a proe1.bat but no proev.bat.

1.Insert the Pro/Engineer Disk 1 CD.
2.Autorun will open CD if not click Setup.exe
3.Take a look on the left corner in the bottom, that is your actual "HostID",remmember that number or write somewhere on paper.
4.In a "CRACK'' folder find file "ptc_li-4.0.dat" and copy somewhere on your HD.
5.Open "ptc_li-4.0.dat" with ''Notepad" and replace every occurance of with your "HostID" shown in the bottom left corner of the ProEngineer setup.The best an the fastest way is like this:
1a) Open "ptc_li-4.0.dat" with ''Notepad"
2a) In ''Notepad" klick "Edit" and "Replace" (Ctrl+H)
3a) in a "Find what:" paste ,''Replace with:" paste your "HostID" shown in the bottom left corner of the ProEngineer setup.
4a) Klick "Replace All"
5a) Klick "File" and "Save"
6a) Exit "Notepad"
6) Click "Next"
7) Check "I Accept the Agreement Terms and Conditions"
8) Click "Next"

I was tested,Pro Engineer works great,ProMechanica said some memory problems,Distributed Services said no license server.I think that the PTC was change some files in installation and this cracks is for earlier version.BUT

If you still having problem to find "proev.bat" do the clean installation again but first extract all ISO files in the same folders and then run setup.exe.I was installed 100 times before and believe me "proev.bat" must be there.

it seems that few of us have problems finding the "proev.bat" under \bin.
I have tried everything that you have mentioned but I never find the "proev.bat" file.
I have both tried clean installation and mount image installation and tried both full and not full installation but the file never showed up.
This seems to be some error since some can find the file and some can´t.
Can you please help us out that can´t find the file?

I also have no "proev.bat" files, either in the specified location or anywhere else on my computer, but it all runs fine without it. The only problem I had was that not all the files in the mechanica patch were where specifed, so I had to do a Windows search for them, but once they were found there were no problems.

this program does obviously not work with windows vista, does it?
Anyway, in my case it doesn't.
The installing/cracking went just fine, but when i open the file now, the sandclock appears for a few seconds, but nothing else happens.
Can you approve, that it just doesn't work with vista?

I went in and edited the ptc_id file and change the host id, apparently after installation it was changing in to instaed of actually host id.

6. Physical Address (MAC) is your Host_ID
Also try opening your Command Prompt and type in: ipconfig /all
Look for physical address. They should be all zeros no o's.
pk190583: ProE uses your network card to generate a host id, in order to install you need to have an active internet connection. Are you installing this on a computer that has an active internet connection at the time of installation? If not then that is the solution, if yes then I'm not really sure.

J0k3r7: Make sure you follow Ivan's directions to the letter, read all of the post in this thread, I had many problems installing because I kept missing 1 part of 1 step. Also try moving the patch to the folder before you run the patch, when the patch asked you to search for a file just say no. The patch does not need to find every file to work properly.

I finally got the program and burn it to ISO disc and everything seems to be well. I follow your guide step by step and it is very easy. However, when disc one is completed and ask for disc 2. I removed disc 1 and placed disc 2, pro-e freezed and does not responds. I tried these 3-4 times and got the same result, Freezing and Not Responds. Any suggestions? I even tried to install from my harddrive but it wouldn?t let me.

Please, any help would be appreciated. After burning the program to ISO files...I could not install disc 2, pro engineer installation would freeze when I put disc 2 in to continue the installation.

hi when i start the install it does not find my HOSTID, apparently i dont have an Ethernet Adaptor... Im using an nForce MCP Network Adaptor, does this mean that i cant run Pro engineer? If i cancel this and install (also putting my HOSTID in the ptc_li-4 file it installs fine, can find the proev.bat file and the patch works.
When i load up thought i get an error :

The first time I tried loading everything onto my computer, ProE would open and give me a bunch of lisence errors. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it won't even open ProE at all. Any ideas?? It is simple... install ALL options in te custom window, exept if you want the other languages, it is the only way that all the archives to crack is founded, if your crak not found an archive, only searh with thee find tool of windows in the system archives and the hiden files.

You did not copy your Host ID correctly. Replace the entire including the carrots with your host it. I first assumed that you would put your host id insude the carrots, but no you don't!!! Mine works... well for now. I haven't tried anything yet. I haven't used this since college 4 years ago.

I don't really understand why your system is suspecting existence of trojan in the crack when most of the folks had no problems. Just check the security settings of your browser, firewall and anti-virus. I downloaded from same location but didn't face any problem. Get this fixed or else you might encounter the same even if you get the crack from some other location.

my ptc wildfire worked perfectly for about 6 months now!!!
BUT now it says that the license isn't correct anymore!!!
When I start pro/e, I get the splash up screen and next the startpage of pro/e... but when I trie to open a file pro/e shuts down!
I have already re-installed it, and also formatted my whole computer... but the problem stays the same...

Ok, i installed it and followed everything ivan said in on the first comments page. It works just fine! I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate.
The only problem is the version of this ProE.
These are different releases of the program
C is for a preproduction release.
F is for the first release of a product.
M is a maintenance release
The higher the number is, the newer the release will be.
The higher numbered releases are generally more stable and have less bugs.
This C version release is not able to open any F or M version files!!!

Usually have no problem installing SW .....
Installed great,
run ptc.pro engineer.wildfire.4.0.generic-patch.exe point to \i486_nt\obj folder
When I run the exe there seems to be no place to keyin/select for point to "\i486_nt\obj folder", so i click "Patch", then get "Can't find file, Search the file ?" i click "Yes" browse to "\i486_nt\obj", it wants a file named CGTech.dll per the "Files of Type" dropdown on the Open dialog box . I searched via Explorer "Search" on C: dirve and the complete apps install folder .... no such file.

Have problems with installation. I turn off the firewall and Internet, start up setup.exe but get error message "APPCRASH". The message comes when the "Welcome to PCTs" have loaded 80 percent. using Windows 7 Ultimate and PowerIso but have also tryed to burn it to cd.

I download the Proe and it work fine on my computer. But at my school they have the PROE 4 in their computer. I am not able the open the file i saved in my school ProE version (Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0) to my computer using the proE or either the my proE file to their computer.
I wonder Why or it is something i am missing.

Works great! Thank you ivan. For those who can't make it work: Just follow the instructions step by step. Just be careful when installing it. make sure you install everything (that's what i did) So change those red Xs with "install" and then follow the how to. worked for me. Great Torrent!
