Trust me, Peerblock kicks the ass of IP trackers, big time. I don't know if Comcast spies on you directly, or if other people who are spying on you will go to Comcast and rat you out. Either way, Comcast will slam you with copyright infrigement warnings for downloading crap like this if you if they catch you doing it. However, if you beef up your Peerblock, they'll never catch you. Trust me. I speak from experience. I have 5 peerblock lists, blocking 2.8 billion IP addresses. That's 2 billion more IPs then peerblock's default list. The default this by itself might be good enough. I don't know. Tracking down these blocklists ain't easy to do though.

Managed to make it work by ticking the Run under Windows xp service pack 2 and Admin rights in the compatibility tab.
Imo the game sucks, 6/10. Seems like they rushed it. Overall the game is just so uninspiring that I uninstalled it past mission 3. It's horrible, so much hype for nothing.

tried the dead island steam_api.dll and it still crashes. Even on the blackbox version i still experience the crash. Tried running in diff compatibility modes + as admin and even tried using the skidrow crack on the blackbox version but same result. Follow the directions and it will work. If you experience a crash after German Training you should change the compatibility by going to main executable and right-click to properties. As I see it there are no single missions only the campaign for SP right? Press 'H' to hold breath. It is strange I know but that is the key for it. It is very useful later in game when snipping or shooting from any rifle. A little more zoom is never bad.
As for the crashes - my game is always crashing after first map I play when loading second. So yeah I can play only one map at a time. No big deal. Great game if you like semi simulation shooters. Best played in MP.

Anyone running a Windows x64 OS is going to experience a crash after the tutorial round. Simply right-click the cracked .exe, select the Compatibility tab and have it run in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode and check the box to run it as Administrator.
Runs on my Win7x64 system perfectly after going through the above-mentioned steps. The game is great for those who are looking for a sincere dose of realism in their FPS's. I personally don't. The more mindless and linear it is, the better. Here, you have to be tactful with every move; every shot counts and every death is another loss on your side as you play a new member of the "squad" as each other member dies. Personally, I'm more of a Tom Clancy kinda guy.

Great upload and crack...but that is only natural with a release by SKIDROW. Installed under Windows 64x Ultimate, and I didn't have any issues.
As with the people who wrote before, this is not Modern Warfare CoD crap. It is the way WWII games should be. If you plan to Rambo the game, be prepared to die until the entire squad is gone.
I highly recommend this game for WWII gamers and gamers who enjoy complex shooters. Also, buy the game, playing with people is so much better.
Best part of the game is the tanks. They were designed inside and out...you have to experience it. More vehicles are on the way.

ok so install went fine, copied skidrow folder over to install np, try to run it, it sais steam is required to play this game, yea ok, so i go into my steam account and import the game, and even when i try to play it through steam the same message pops up. do i have to copy the skidrow folder into binary or one of the other mini folders? i just copied it to the main one in program filesx86 like i always do and this is happening. I installed this link (Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad DaRkSiDe-BrasilDowns-DVD1-2) it works. some files in the part 3 & 4 rar zips did not install. I simply did drag & drop to desk top of the part 3 & 4 zips then installed them to game folders were they needed to be. Then add the game to steam from the browse filies botton. launch steam FIRST. people that know how to use DAMON TOOLS better than I do may noy have problem with the part 3 & 4 rar. zip files

Single player sucked really. Starting with utterly retarded AI ending with annoying bugs.
Bug worth note - While playing Soviet Campaign (Allies as they apparently call themselves), you will eventually spawn into some gliding corpse.
When it comes to balance it is a headache.
Then comes the lack of being able to choose a weapon or mods, which you can only choose in Multiplayer (By unlocking them through levels or someshit).
Overall, Multiplayer is the only worthy thing here.
Unless you love defending a position and your "Team mates" get themselves killed right in the beginning by a single shot.
It is not impossible to own the enemy solo, but when defending and 12 enemy troops zeroing in on your location, you might kill some but they will capture the location before you can stop or even find them in the huge square your supposed to defend.
Avoid playing a tank as Soviet Union, massively under powered. (oh and force respawn doesn't work in single player! It resets the timer but no AI units respawn and you got to wait another 2 minutes for backup! EPIC!!!)

for those who have crash problem after training mission do this......First go to C:Program Files (x86)Tripwire InteractiveRed Orchestra 2 Heroes of StalingradBinarieswindows and i install UE3Redist...after that i rightclick the shortcut of Red Orchestra 2 and then properties -> compatibility run this program as administrator. then clicked Change settings for all users and again select Run this program as an administrator at the bottum, click apply on and ok...then start up the game using the shortcut....thats all for the fix....

Do this......First go to C:Program Files (x86)/Tripwire Interactive/Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad/Binaries/windows...
Then install UE3Redist...
After that rightclick the shortcut of Red Orchestra 2 and then properties -> compatibility -> run this program as administrator.
Then clicked Change settings for all users and again select Run this program as an administrator at the bottum
Click apply on and ok
Then start up the game using the shortcut....thats all for the fix....

this game works fine with me, after the training it crashed, all you need to do is what people said before this comment, install the game resdistibutables (search for it on the folders), and then put it in compability mode for windows xp 2, and it wont crash anymore!
i play it with max settings, my system is Windows 7 64bits, GTX 550ti, 4GB ram, processor E8400 3.0 nice all torrents from extremezone always works 100% i love to download it from this user

- WORKS FINE, as always from SKIDROW (I never play online so can’t tell if works for)
- VERY EASY TO SOLVE game don’t start, crash and close, reporting error to “ROGame.exe” and “steam_api.DLL”.
Just follow these steps:
1) Download crack folder for the game "Dead Island" by the link found at old comments posted here since 09/2011:
2) From the downloaded folder take a single file named “steam_api.DLL”.
3) Go to the game installation directory and paste the “steam_api.DLL” file inside the folder “Win32”, choosing to overwrite another one found with same name.
4) Make sure that “steam_api.DLL” was put inside the subfolder named “Win32”, usually found in:
“C:Program Files (x86)Tripwire InteractiveRed Orchestra 2 Heroes of StalingradBinariesWin32”.
5) Inside the same “Win32” folder mouse right-click over the file “ROGames.exe”, go to PROPERTIES” and “COMPATIBILITY”, then make the following changes:
a) Under the “Compatibility mode” check the box for “Run this program in compatibility mode for” then go to the right below menu and choose “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)” option.
b) Under the “Privilege Level” at bottom, check the box for “Run this program as an administrator”.
