10cc - The Best Of

I had this mate right. We were on a dirty weekend in London, UK. Yeah. That's the one...the Soho tourist route. Anyway, before I tell you this, I must first tell you we went to some real seedy joint and this woman... she was standing at the bar...lifted her legs and pointed her stilleto heels in my mate's direction. And there was a sticker on the sole of one of her shoes. "For ten pounds...I'm all yours". Anyway, back to what I intended to tell you. This same mate...we were in Hyde Park together. Some demented politician (can't remember his name) was ranting from a soapbox. This mate of mine started slagging off the politician. My mate told him he was a lunatic. Then the politician asked my mate whether he could prove that he was not a lunatic. And this mate went "I can prove I'm not mad". He pulled out, from his inside jacket pocket, a copy of his release papers from the nuthouse. Papers that said my mate was now sane and allowed back into society. Weird or what. Just thought I'd mention it, 'cause I know how much you love my asides. And some advice concerning education... not that I've got any. Do not waste your time going to university. Buy a copy of The Times every day and read it from cover to cover. Best education you will ever get.

I've got this mate right. He was into scrumpy. His grandmother used to make it on her farm somewhere near Boscastle. He brought me a few bottles of it back one time. WOW. I wasn't seen for days. Don't think I was even conscious for that week. Proper shed-wrecking gear.
And our government is must unlikely to send out that letter to us all. Not a snowball in Hell chance. This government is all ready so unpopular that it would not dare to risk yet another backlash. Why vote for Gordon Brown, when you can buy him.
