Amores Perros (2000) includes optional Spanish subs

Three interconnected stories about the different strata of life in Mexico City all resolve with a fatal car accident. Octavio is trying to raise enough money to run away with his sister-in-law, and decides to enter his dog Cofi into the world of dogfighting. After a dogfight goes bad, Octavio flees in his car, running a red light and causing the accident. Daniel and Valeria\'s new-found bliss is prematurely ended when she loses her leg in the accident. El Chivo is a homeless man who cares for stray dogs and is there to witness the collision.

zeinabqureshi - write, the sub file is in fact english, just rename it to the avi, and play away in VLC.

can you upload just the sub? i accidentally deleted it and the subs i found elsewhere do not work with this file or if they do work the subs are WAY off.

the English subtitles are having some errors. The Subtitle is leading by few seconds than the dialogue. You may need to rewrite the .srt file. I have written a program in C++ to convert the subtitle file and correct it. I am able to use the subtitle correctly now.

I wasn't able to play the .sub file in VLC, but the upper did include a link from where to download the .srt, so all was good.

If you are someone who needs English subs for a Spanish language movie then don't download this one. The subtitles are WAY out of sync. The NFO file has a link to a different sub file at opensubtitles.org but it is way out of sync also. I searched manually for an .srt subtitle file that was listed as being compatible with the gimmeshelter upload, but THAT sumbitch is out of sync too. I'm just going to delete the whole damn thing and download the movie from a different uploader.

Ok, the "english subtitle problem" is ...
This release contains only a ".sub" file but no ".idx" - which is needed to to get subs to work properly, dig all that ?
