Compression is nice for most program files and audio/video, but most text-file formats already employ compression (PDF, CHM, DJVU) already have built in compression, so you're not really saving a whole lot. It's also an extra hassle, all over a file at about 10-20 MB. Plus your adverts have probably negated any benefits of compression.

....oh yeah, +1 for this bit of programming arcana. Had to work with CORBA about a year ago, wish I had this instead of blowing $150 on CORBA programming guides. Thanks for the upload.
