so im definitely a noob, but want to learn this stuff. I have the game installed but am having trouble finding the crack file. when i start the game,it says insert cd. I mounted image to daemon tools, but am clueless from there. I am seeding to btw.

Hey, I'm brand new to torrent... I downloaded this, got it onto a virtual CD and into a seperate folder, I copied the stuff in the folder that said crack onto the main part, it works. It asks me what I want for specs, and then gives me a white screen with a black square in the middle. I tried to adjust the screen res. but I got the same thing. Does anyone know what this is? I'm stumped.

its a .rar file double extraction. gameplay avg. graphics is avg.

Works great. If you want to use Version 1.2, install the update when prompted before playing and then use the crack from gamecopyworld.com, it works very well.
I don't know exactly what is in the 1.2 update, but it is necessary for multiplayer. This method worked perfectly for me.

The people who are having problems are not following the directions well enough. Everything worked for me first try, no problems whatsoever.
step 1) install game
step 2) install patch (right click SHL_DVD, then click "explore", open the "CRACK" folder, and click setup.exe)
step 3) take the three files in that same "CRACK" folder and drag/drop into the Stronghold folder that you installed the game to.

I followed all the steps. The installation is successful , installed the crack patch and copied the folder " CRACK" from the DVD into the directory where I installed the game yet it doesn't work. When I play through the DVD it says " wrong cd disk " and if I play from the copied " crack folder" nothing comes up.

Finally did it. Tnx..A tip to those who couldn't play it after copying the Crack. You should not copy the folder rather you should copy the files inside it to the directory where you have installed the file.

Multiplayer crack (version 1.2):

Unfortunately, this one only allows me to stay in a multiplayer game for about 10 minutes before i'm returned to main menu. I Can't find the reason for this and i would be eternaly greatful for any help.
