1) Load or extract the ISO file. 2) Install HFSS 13 (do not install de drivers). 3) Install Update 13.0.2. 4) Copy license file to Drive:\Program Files\Ansoft\admin 5) Copy Patch.exe and ANSOFTFIX.com to Drive:\Program Files\Ansoft\HFSS13.0 6) Run Patch.exe and ANSOFTFIX.com 7) Optional: Install hfss_adk_v2.1.exe (Antenna Design Kit). 8) Once installed, Tools->Options->General Options->WebUpdate Options (tab)->Never. 9) Enjoy the software! I have windows 7 and did everything as stated in the readme txt. However I get the following error when I try to open the HFSS
"Failed to check out license 'hfss_desktop'.
Invalid (inconsistent) license key (FLEXlm Error -8)"
Can someone help pls....I have windows 7 professional, 64-bit operating system

The crack doesn't seem to work with vista or windows 7. To work around the FLEXlm Error -8 error install it in windows xp and run the patch.exe. Install it in windows 7 and run the patch. Then copy the admin and hfss file from windows xp to windows 7 and it should work. You may have to specify the temporary folder so just override the default location as "Doucments and settings" isnt a folder in windows 7

Alright people here is the issue. In the folder with the .lic and patch.exe there is a ansoftfix.exe. This file is a Trojan and Windows 7 63 bit wont let you copy it from the .iso to your hard drive (it's not true for all computers, but it's probably true for everyone that is having the same issue). Haven't circumvented the problem, probably not going to download it anymore considering Windows wont let me and the fact that i need to download a virus to get the software.

I only have the license.lic ,patch.exe, and Ansoftfix.exe and do not see the Ansoftfix.com file?
Could be operator error as I was wrong once in 1966!!

Hi everyone. I've downloaded this and am getting a warning that ansoftfix.exe is a trojan. Have you all installed this and used ansoftfix.exe despite trojan warnings? Alternatively, does anyone have ansoftfix.exe without the trojan? If so could you please seed. Thanks

How I corrected the following error for x64 Windows 7:
"Invalid (inconsistent) license key (FLEXlm Error -8)"
It was simple... Turn off UAC.
Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change User Account Control Settings -> Move bar to bottom.
Hope this helps.
