The installation directory is usually here:
C:\Program Files\Universal Interactive\Blue Tongue Software\Jurassic Park Operation Genesis\JPOG
Save the simjp.exe in that folder and when it asks to replace the file click "Yes"

Hey there! I'm also getting this same response. I hear the sounds, and can even move the curser (a white square, lol), but it's like it's not displaying properly. Anyone have any thoughts as to what I might try? Thanks!

I have the same problem as many others, the game installs fine but when I run it and select my island it crashes. I'm running Vista 32, perhaps it has to do with that; my video card isn't the greatest, but better than what was out in '03.

Hey I just got this game to work if you don't know how to do it.... I'll explain the steps a bit better ;)
But all thankz should go to Terryn0 for letting plan this "addicting" game.
K 1st what u must do... Download This Torrent... Simple :P I use Limewire to download my torrents I just like it takes alot long though trust me but it works so I use it.
Next after you've downloaded the torrent: download the virtual clone driver program here's the link

after you've downloaded that make sure you install it with everything checked :) at least that's what i did
so all the files should have the virtual clone drive program logo on it... easier 4 me :P
so after that open the JPOG folder from where you downloaded it click on the jpog.mdf file it should start to install... when it finishes... go to my computer then:
C:\Program Files\Universal Interactive\Blue Tongue Software\Jurassic Park Operation Genesis\JPOG
after that from the original fold that downloaded the game 4 you... you have a simjp.exe in there click and drag that onto the installed folder HINT: Installation Directory :P and again if you don't know what that is.... it's this.
C:\Program Files\Universal Interactive\Blue Tongue Software\Jurassic Park Operation Genesis\JPOG
K? then it will ask to delete the other one or replace it w/e it says... click yes THEN!!!!

Ok, so for anyone that is having the crashing issues, please read on.
STEP 1: Download the 3d analyzer program and select JPOG to load.
STEP 2: check the following boxes on the analyzer - emulate other DX 8.1 caps - Emulate pixel shader caps - Emulate bump map caps.
I don't know if this will work for everyone but it has solved my problem and so I'm off to watch several T-rex's lay waste to a park full of people^^

For those who have Windows 7, any game from any previous Windows platform is able to play on 7, although their are adjustments that need to be made to the game before it will launch properly.
For example, I have Vista and Xp, and sometimes their are Games that are only compatible from 98 to 2000 or 98 to Xp. What I do to fix this is simply Right click on the game icon, go to Properties, then compatibility, and select the previous platform the game was made for and the desired color depth and resolution. Now launch the game and hope it works, if it doesn't its more than likeley a Driver or Hardware problem. So always be sure your computer is up to date!

I installed Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, but for some reason when I launch it, it launches a Command Prompt box that closes like 10 seconds later. The game itself never launches. I even tried it with Windows 98 / Windows Me compatibility mode, and got the same result. I\'m using Windows XP.

@weishan93. I had a lot of trouble putting the crack into the game too.
What you have to do is go into "my computer", then "drive C" ( usually called hp pavillion or whatever), then go into "programme files", then "universal interactive", then "blue tongue software", then "Jurassic park operation genisis", then "jpog",
then finally copy and paste the crack from the download folder that it was originally in into "jpog". it will ask you if you want to replace it and say yes.
This took me so long to find out cause nobody went step by step.
They all expect you to know what the installation directory is and im a whopper NOOB.

I downloaded this and set it up and it was working fine up to the menu screen of the game but when you click the Operation Genesis option (to start a new game) It turns off and says that there is a error and asks me if i want to report it, I am a complete noob at this stuff so could somebody please help me. Have tried compability, my directX is fully working and everything is active, didn't quite understand the 3D analyser but don't think it's working..
