FYI . . . . Kenwood amateur radio division provides ALL their amateur radio programming software free of charge via their amateur radio website. The only thing Kenwood does not provide free are their CONTROL software but PROGRAMMING software is indeed FREE.The programming interface cable is another story. some are quite simple and can be easily made yourself while others must be purchased, but there are usually third-party pre-made cables available for a very reasonable cost via sites like Ebay, Amazon, etc.
