Following the events of Night of the Living Dead (1968), we follow the exploits of four survivors of the expanding zombie apocalypse as they take refuge in an abandoned shopping mall following a horrific SWAT evacuation of an apartment complex. akhiugo , anyway i can get an ENG subtitle for this ? Link me if possible . Thanks . Cause didn't managed to find it in subscene . I'm not good at seeing the audio rate or whatever rate . Well, my comment confirms this is where I downloaded the movie. This one is censored. I haven't watched it all again yet, but the start where the psycho-cop goes in blowing peoples' heads off, they don't show the head exploding parts. Laaaaame.

If they don't show heads exploding, then this may be the theatrical release for the UK and Canada, which had much of the gore edited out.

There's no such thing as a "director's cut" of this film. Romero had control of the final cut in the US, and the original theatrical release is 100% as Romero wanted it. Hence, the original US theatrical release IS the "director's cut."
There are alternate versions however; the European cut (overseen by Dario Argento; shorter running time, uses some different takes, the pacing is quicker and most of the humorous stuff was cut out) and an "extended cut" (which features a couple scenes cut for pacing, plus some additional gore shots, but the FX in those shots are sub-par and it's understandable why they were cut).

Based off the run time this is the hasty 139-minute version of the film (now known as the Extended, or Director's, Cut) for premiere at the 1978 Cannes Film Festival. But, I will now try to watch this on my PS3 to confirm.

This one plays fine on PS3. But, is in fact censored version. The best copy on here is from DragonLord721. He has the Dawn Of The Dead: The Extended Mall Hours Cut. A “fan edit” produced by the intriguingly named “Officially Unofficial”, using the 139 minute Cannes Cut of the film and the Dario Argento 117 minute version. Effectively this is a near representation of the original rough cut of the movie. It clocks in at a total running time of 155 minutes. Which plays great on the PS3 and has the exploding heads and all.
