Looks like the SETUP.exe in the root directory is a trojan, but you can install the program directly from the RRT2 folder on the iso using the unafflicted exe file. Just delete the SETUP.exe in the Root directory.

This torrent is fine and works perfectly. There is no Trojan. It's a false positive.
It took just a little over an hour to download and it only had 3 seeds. It installs effortlessly. There is no crack file. Just mount the ISO image, run Setup.exe, and you're all set. It even includes the manual and a strategy guide.
Just one note. Be sure to download the 1.56 patch for the platinum edition. It's easy to find on any games site. You can patch the game and it still works fine.
The patch is a must unless you're using a very old computer. Without the patch, when you move the mouse to the end of the screen to scroll, it's way, way too fast. It scrolls to the end of the screen immediately. It makes the game unplayable.
But the 1.56 patch specifically takes care of that. Now the game scrolls properly. Plus the patch allows you to use the middle mouse button to zoom in/out and to move the map.
So far, I think this game is better than Railroad Tycoon 3 and Railroads.

***NOTE***: The Setup.exe file in the game folder is infected. Is that gunna let you down by playing your favorite game? NO!!! Mount the ISO with a program of your choice(Alcohol, Daemon...), DONT TOUCH AUTORUN, just explore the game folder and go into the _SETUP subfolder and use the setup file in there.

I've gone to the _SETUP folder and ran a scan on the SETUP icon and it comes back negative saying for infection. When I double click the icon to run the application it informs me that it is in fact infected. For this, I am slightly confused and any help would be appreciated.

I scanned with Norton and malwarebytes and installed it and am not haveing any trouble. I will continue to seed because it took me forever to find torrent of this game!! This is one of my favorite past the time away games!!

Definitely infected. Just don't run the cd in My Computer, or go download Avast Antivirus (better than Norton or McCrappy)

Absolutely infected, and done by a piss-poor script kiddie:
SETUP.EXE is a container which, upon execution, will launch WExtract on itself, deposit ".Download-Server.exe" into your temp folder, and execute it. ".Download-Server.exe" is a W32/Comame-type trojan, which is a broad and generic definition.
Odds are it was some high schooler who found some ancient netcode that they could copypasta into a shitty VB6 application.
