2001 Kanji Odyssey - Essentials Japanese Kanji The best way to learn kanji (and God knows i tried many ones) I strongly advise to buy the 2 books from the same editor, learning only with the CD would be too difficult. It looks like a website with kanji sorted by groups. The good part is that they give example sentences.

This is an .iso of CosCom Language Service's 2001 Kanji Odyssey (www.coscom.co.jp) which should be useful to first and second year students. Features include animated stroke order displays, audio files, readings, et al. If you download and then mount the .iso with MagicISO, copy the /data and 'start.html' to a separate directory then set a bookmark for 'start.html' in Firefox, you could have a complete kanji learning course at your disposal without the need for a CD. (years ago I used Heisig's methodology and a Canon Wordtank for the same results).
