Description:

In many ways, I am most partial to the shows from the 2000 Waltz Across America tour, which started with the Winter Waltz in February, and included the Spring Waltz in June and the Fall Waltz in October. It was after seeing the band perform on Valentine's Day in St. Louis that I first discussed the idea of being the band's archivist with Michael. The live CD, "Waltz Across America," was made up of songs recorded on this tour, and includes the stunning reworked version of "Hollow as a Bone." Highlights of this show include a raucous "I Saw Your Shoes" to open things up, a haunting "Crescent Moon," and the lovely "Five Room Love Story." For an encore, the band performed "Dead Flowers," a fantastic cover of a Rolling Stones' song that they just brought back into rotation in January of this year, so if you are lucky enough to see them this summer, you might get to hear it! In closing, I'll leave you with Mike's words about this show from the tour diary: "The gig tonight was a bit of a rock show. We all had to get our ya-yas out since it will be a while until we are gathered together again. It was a fun night. This has been a great year of touring for us. The Waltz tours have been the most fun that we have had on the road since we started out. A large part of the reason for that has been you folks who have embraced us so strongly and opened yourselves up to our music. Thank you, we are forever grateful."

You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with
your favorite decoder ( see
http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
) then write them to a CD with no gaps
between the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live"
show.

When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from http://www.4thellamas.com/index.htm .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave permission.
