just click the 32 bit or 64 bit depending on which os ur running, most are 32. and then install. then open the torrent u just downloaded and install/ open it. Enjoy :)

You didn't place a link for instructions. From what I understand the current problem keeping me from installing any update I've tried is that the install path for the simplistic program is off.
What would the original file path be? I've tried a few combinations from memory but haven't been able to get it right.

Guy's don't be retarded. You can't play online becasue it's not battle.net cracked, and it's distrubing a multi-access CD key.
Furthermore you can't update it because it's pre-cracked and when the checksum runs on the file to ensure entriguity, it won't allow it because the .exe has been modified to let you play it without a cd key.
So, if you want to play online, BUY the game.
I mean, is offline so bad anyways? ;)

2. Install Warcraft 3 Reign of chaos, DO NOT enter serial or crack.
3. Install Frozen thrown, DO NO Enter serial or crack.
4. Go to Warcraft 3 Offical Blizzard web site and download the latest's Patch/Version.
5. Install the Blizzard patch, it will find the game and update it.
6. You can't play online with Battle.net unless you buy a Legal CD key. Single play will work with a Crack/Generated Serial.
7. To play online go to http://www.xtremetop100.com/warcraft and pick a private server. The server You choose will have instructions on how to play. I use Garena to play (Google it). Crack/Serials will work with private servers.

Nice! I figured out how to update to 1.26a. Im running Win XP.
1.) Download.
- If you encounter Warcraft IIIInstallPath' Error
Go here for instructions.
2.) Open exe file to start update update.
------------------------------------
If Warcraft crashes after video, try this.
1.) Right click Frozen throne.exe then select properties.
2.) Click Compatibility tab then under compatibility area try
each option eg. Win 95,98,2000 and see what option will
work for your OS.
-------------------------------------
If your See please "insert CD" after running Frozen thone/Reigh of Chaos exe.
Make sure that your AV is disabled before you extract rhe rar file. Avast/Eset/AVG
will consider War3.exe as mallware and will block it from being extracted so better
disable AV first before extracting since its only a false positive detection.

Alright so guaranteed instructions that will get your game patched and ready to go for garena:
1) Download patch 1.26:
2) Download war3registryfix :
3) Apply war3registryfix (Make sure you run it as administrator, otherwise you will get write errors)
4) Download the proper crack(Otherwise you will get checksum error whilst patching):
5) Replace the original files with the ones in the rar file.
6) Now apply patch 1.26 and you are good to go for garena :)

For anyone having the DirectX error/CD key error still after creating the registry and patching, all you need to do is this:
-Make a shortcut to Frozen Throne
-right-click on the shortcut
-Go to "Properties"
-in the "Target" dialog box, add
"-opengl" to the end (without the quotation marks, obviously).
You may need to go into Properties in the shortcut and change the compatibility to windows 2000 and run as administrator also if it dont run right.
