endritpc, form my understanding, a reloaded release, is ripped and either packed for smaller size, or its made smaller. for example, the video's are too big, the person who made the reloaded image makes compresses the vids to take up less space and therefore, u have to download less. a dvd clone is just a iso image taken straight from a nfs shift 2 dvd in this case. It is not compressed, and it won't guaranty u that the key will work.

1. RELOADED, SKIDROW, RAZOR1911, FLT, etc etc are groups that crack games. So it's just who you perfer. I like every team because they provide good stuff.
2. You can always trust extremezone and especially people with skulls. Even if your antivirus says that the crack is a threat, it's false positive.
3. It crashes for me right before the start of the first race (practice) but I doesn't bother me that much, I can tell that the game is shitty.

If the game stop working when u skip the Ea account login it's because u have to shutdown your ''Data Execution Prevention'' ( DEP ) or add the Shift.exe in the settings for ''Data Execution Prevention'' I'm swe so i don't have the knowledge to translate how u do it...

Finaly i got the answer of all problems.Since blackbox and ea didnt suport entirely x64 platforms,this you need to do:
1. install the game
2.copy crack in game directory(all cracks are fine,reloaded skidrow,etc)
3In the exe file open proprieties:
a. run as administrator
b. run as xp sp2 (not sp3 cuz its same as w7, both got x64 platforms)
4. dont forget to take a brake :)
tested playing 3h no crash.

try deleting your xml file for the graphics settings then load the game. shift would basically create a new one with the default settings, then put in 2x AF before you play.
if you can get past the login/startup screen, then it's a prolly a graphics settings problem that's causing the crashes. for me it was the AF setting being trilinear.
if you don't want to be bothered, it's ok. the game is shitty anyways, with the physics and fake sense of speed. totally not a loss on your side man. :)
btw, what card are you using? i have GTX460.

Works perfectly on my Macbook Pro 13" (2.4GHz, 4GB, Geforce 320M) running XP in bootcamp. I ran maximum settings for resolution, textures, detail and shadows all together and noticed no visible slowing frame rate (I don't have any frame rate numbers though).
As far as the game goes, it is dreadful if you don't have a steering wheel and it is amazing if you do.

Well, you do have the Graphics power to make up for it.
I've played games that have much more advances Physics and look far better (on higher settings) and get 4x the FPS that this does. Plus there is always some wait from when you put in a command to when the car responds.
I have a Core2 Duo 2Ghz, 300MHz/1+1GB ATI Raedon 4600 and 4GB RAM and only get >20FPS on med/low settings. It looks terrible, people in the crowds look like blurry lumps, there's almost no AF effect, its unplayable on my rig. Looks like PS2 graphics and is unplayable, just another over engineered game that's designed for a console

That happened to me too but with first Shift game on i5 with HD 5770 in crossfire. Try turning off Crossfire.
You dont get too much boost from 2 than from 1 graphics card anyway.
unless you have a HD6XXXseries.
those have amazing scalability. almost double performance with 2 cards.

Hey all,
I have followed many comments' sets of directions very closely - I've installed the game, then copied the crack into the install folder. Then, I click on that crack .exe file to play the game (this is the right way, I'm not supposed to click on the mounted disc, right?)...I have tried on multiple windows 7s, one on my mac bootcamp, but keep getting this message upon opening that crack .exe:
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." This game should have been called canoe shift 2, i spent a day trying to get the steering wheel to work properly, finally realising that all the cars handle the same apart from engine power, that is until you get to the cars with spoilers and then its time to start fucking about with the settings to get the car to handle again , at this point I gave up. and there's nothing wrong with my steering wheel iv had it for years. I do have a problem though i get this message when clicking on the .exe

OK, 1st problem sorted. Got it up and running by copying everything from the unzipped folder into the install folder (C:Games/etc....)
But now i cannot get past the log in screen, if i log into existing account, it says the cd keys not valid and then crashes back to desktop(BTD), if i skip it continutes to load the start menu (i presume) only to then crash BTD within a couple of seconds.

Sounds like you just copied the file from the .iso file. If you download Virtual Clone drive (or any other disk image loader) you load the .iso file into it as if you had put the actual DVD into a disk drive. Then you can install the game from there. (another alternative would be to download something like ImgBurn and create an install disk from the .iso file) It should be able to tell if you have a 32bit or 64 bit system all on it's own if you do this correctly.
I suggest deleting anything you copied over.
When you do the install, make sure you click "cancel" when it asks you for the CD key. After it is done installing, browse the CD (virtual or physical, whichever route you decide to go) and copy the files from the "CRACK" folder into where your game installed. I usually just rename the original files so that if I ever need them they are still there, but you can just copy over them if you want.

But i did mount the image using daemon tools 1st and got the 32/64bit message. Then tried extracting the files, again same message.
I then mounted and ran the installer again once complete i then copied the files from the image into the install folder, THEN copied the crack files over and then the game started, got the intro video then it crashes when it starts to load the menu.
Im currently burning the disc and will try that.

I haven't had any problem with this installing, or running at all.
I am running this on a 3.1 GHz AMD AM3 Processor, Geforce 9500 GT 1024 MB 550 clock MHz, 5 GB DDR2 RAM. And there is no crashing, I completed several races already.
I never signed in to an account, it just told me that my old account was not valid and then went to the game.
Not sure why anyone is having problems.
And if you're using a laptop or a mac book, you're out of luck, because you absolutely need a video card to run this game.
So sell that POS and buy a PC tower :D
It's an alright game for the most part, but I like NFS Most Wanted personally.

Game seems to work fine, until I get into the actual gameplay. Textures are failing, absurdly laggy, artifacting, and large black areas on my car model. No matter what the graphic settings are at.

It's the same for me, at first i just thought that it was my car that was just a bad car. but it's still a slight delay in the handling, even after i've upgraded the handling, engine, suspension, brakes and all that quite alot. :-/

I don't get it, how can you keep trying to play this game when everyone knows there's an input lag of around half a second, it's worse than driving in all points bulletin!
This is A KNOWN bug that is fixed in the UPDATE which IS NOT CRACKED YET!
SO ESSENTIALLY THIS GAME IS BROKEN!
Play a real racing game, get dirt 3. I can't understand how EA could release a game in this broken state, such an embarrassment. But hey, I bought battlefield 2142 and I have yet to be able to play it!

@jim_conte You probably dont meet the system requirements for the game. You listed your CPU, but you said nothing about your GPU (graphics card). This game has pretty high requirements, and since you have an Athlon II im going to assume your GPU is just as old, or built into the motherboard. The game WILL launch, and can run, even if you do NOT meet the requirements. Often when someone doesnt have the graphics or processing (computer) power, they'll get a game that runs bad. Examples are laggy gameplay, laggy or non-responsive controls, choppy graphics/ missing frames, no sound or sound that goes in and out, etc.
As far as how you are playing the game, NO YOU DO NOT HAVE IT PROPERLY INSTALLED. On most games you will not be able to do what you did and get the game to work. What they mean is ater you install the game, you browse the game installer folder (the ISO or disk that you just installed the game from) Then find the folder that says "crack" or "reloaded" and instead of clicking the exe and launching the game like you did, Copy all of the files from the crack folder and place them in the directory where you installed the game. example c:program files/EA Games/Shift2Unleashed/ Or whereever the game was installed to. It will ask you to replace one or more files. click YES and the cracked files will now be placed in the game folder. Now launch the game from the EXE in the shift2unleashed folder, or on the desktop shortcut. Good luck.. I hope I helped.

Excelent game, controls are too hard in Elite. If you are a newbie, i recommend you to play with controls in Novice. If you look for challenge, then try Expert. Is the perfect balance. Elite is way too hard.

Hi guys, I`m trying to run this game and my system is not too bad. i5200K CPU, HD6870 video card, 4GB RAM so it shouldn`t be a problem. OS is Vista SP2, 32 bit. Tried running as administrator and compatible with XP SP2, changed the AF to 2x. None of them worked. Can`t save any settings, and during can`t enter the race. In the career mode, game quits right before the first race. No success yet. Anybody solved this problem yet? Thanks...

I have a feeling that, right before the very first race, the game wants to save the profile, it can't and then quits. I also can't save after I do changes in the options. Gives me an error message saying was unable to save. Running as an administrator doesn't solve this problem. I'm getting frustrated... Any suggestions appreciated!

Problem solved. I changed my motherboard recently and my system settings changed, so E drive became F. In the registry the old path was still the old one "E". I think when the game wanted to save my settings, was having an invalid path. I fixed it, now I can play the damn game. I like it... Except not being able to play online, everything works perfectly.

Edit DampeningEnabled="1" string to "0" in vehicleset_pc_custom_pad.xml and reselect controller scheme in game (to custom pad of course). Should work with custom wheel file as well.

Got it to work on macbook pro 13inch (running wineskin - with crack put in) it runs perfectly, a bit of lag, but whenever i crash in evaluation i keep getting black squares in front of the windscreen and then cant see through it, i quit the event and reset and it is still there having to leave to reset the whole game.
