Windows 7 PE - clean & simple bootable rescue ISO

Ahoy fellow Pirates! This is one of two tools I searched the Internet in vain, when I started to move my personal files to another partition, to keep them safe in case of system crash, etc.! WINDOWS 7 PE It's a clean and above all simple WINDOWS 7 rescue enviroment, which comes with 'Total Commander' and a few other features to handle a complete move of your Users-directory to another destination for example. As I never could find one that actually worked, I made it myself and decided now to share it ;)... Just burn the ISO and boot from CD! seed and enjoy! @dark I suppose it may be possible to run it in some type of virtual machine or is there not any type of wireless drivers as long as your Virtual machine detects your connection that is. Otherwise it might be time for drivers. Thanks for this upload.

@dark Thanks for the update of what you have found out. Have not had time to mess with it at all. Was thinking of installing as a primary OS on a little project I have going. I still think I will go back to a stripped version of Xp Though.

Best product EVER... someone should add this link to Wikipedia under Live CD's... took 5 min to load on an old p4 with 1gb ram - worked great.

Download was very fast. thanks for the seed.
I mounted the ISO with WinCDEmu and scanned all files with McAfee: No Virus found.
Then I run it in Virtualbox. Note: You have to use IDE (not SATA) as the controller to boot from the ISO.
Network is available after running "PENetwork" (link on Desktop).

its a great disk,small and quite ok for older comps,so it will boot quickly on little ram,nice work:-).if anyone would like an up to date,current version win7PE,you can get it here built 8/jul/2011....and its packed with truckloads of rescue/browser/utorrent/MBR/data rescue/ type stuff.works great on newer comps with good(2-4GB)ram.and all up to date versions:-)

I downloaded, extracted onto my External HDD, changed the BIOS to boot from USB but it doesnt boot.
have i missed out something here?

This thing really was awesome to use... MiniPE wouldn't boot on this lady's laptop but this worked fine... had spybot ready to either run from the ram drive or install on the HD or install and then delete off the HD once done. The options alone were awesome. Thanks :)

THIS DOES WORK FLAWLESSLY AS A BOOTABLE USB FLASH DRIVE!
Once you completed downloading this torrent, you need these two programs installed:
WinUSB Maker, a free release from Josh Cell Softwares (and make a donation if you love using this utility as much as I do!)

.NET Framework 4.0 which is a minimum requirement to run WinUSB Maker (the link below is a web installer):

Make sure you have your USB flash drive (1GB or higher) plugged in and accessible from (My) Computer - or WinUSB Maker won't see it.
Opening WinUSB Maker, the first thing it will ask you is which USB device do you want to work with. Select your USB drive.
Once your drive is selected, select the radio button "I want to work with an ISO or image file." Click the button "Select an ISO or directory" below.
Browse to the ISO image you just downloaded from this torrent, and open it.

NOTE: If you get an exception window, that is because Windows placed security measures on the ISO image where it is being "Blocked" by default. You will have to select "Quit" from the exception window, right-click on this ISO you just downloaded and click Properties. In its dialog toward the bottom, there should be a visible "Unblock" button. Click that, then "Apply", and then close that dialog. Re-open WinUSB Maker and repeat the steps, setting up your target USB drive and the ISO.

Once your ISO is selected, the "Make USB Bootable" button toward the bottom should be visible. Click that to begin (what they call) a transloading process.
A dialog will appear confirming that you want to (re-)format your target USB drive. If you're comfortable, then hit Yes.
Re-boot your PC using the USB you just placed this ISO on and enjoy. :)

Let me add that once your target USB flash drive is selected, look on the left section and click "Setup to USB" first and that is where you can find the radio-button option "I want to work with an ISO image file."

Win 7 pe and Heaps more on a prebuilt USB key here
boots up very faster.. depends on quality of pen drive though... but 20mb/s read and 10mb/s write is not bad

so i need to know, if i put this on a cd and start my acer with it can i boot from this cd and install windows or is it something else. sorry new to this. my comp is wiped so no need to save whats one it.
