Shtrafbat ("Penalty Battalion") entire series

Military histories don't like to talk about the penalty soldiers, nameless in their graves. Penalty battalions were thrown into attack against the most impregnable parts of the German defenses. There was no need to equip or provision penalty battalions - often they were reduced to scrounging what food and weapons they could come across once already in battle. Death surrounded them on all sides: in front were the machineguns of their enemies, to the rear were the machineguns of the NKVD's blocking detachments. This film tells the story of the tragic fate of the penalty soldiers whose deaths contributed to victory in the most difficult times of World War II. Shtrafbat was one of the first films to go into this dark part of Soviet history. This was filmed in 11 episodes. Sound is the original Russian, subtitles are in Russian and English. О штрафниках военные историки говорить не любят, их братские могилы безымянны. Штрафбаты бросали в атаки на самые неприступные участки обороны немцев. Штрафбаты было вовсе не обязательно снабжать боеприпасами и провиантом, часто еду и оружие они добывали сами, в бою. Смерть окружала их со всех сторон: спереди их косили пулеметы противника, сзади — пулеметы заградотрядов НКВД. Фильм рассказывает о трагических судьбах штрафников, жизнями которых добивались победы в самый тяжелый период Великой Отечественной войны…

Thanks for this upload. I bought a chinese copy off of Ebay and the subs were apar with a 1st grade translation, way off in timing and definition. Couldnt make it past the first episode.
The subs on these are spot on and done by a Russian speaker. Only Ru and Eng.
Its two large 8gig ISO files.
It took me a few months to download since there aren't many seeders. Just be patient. I will seed as long as I can for you cheloveks.
If you like RU WW1/2 war movies, try Admiral and Zvezda.

Well this torrent appears to be dead, which is sad since remy1492 speaks highly of the subtitles
and i haven't been able to find any decent english subtitles anywhere :| People who own the DVD itself also say the subtitles are piss poor ah well...

Ignore my last comment, there where a few moments at the start where i had no seeders but later on it had a steady 3-6 seeders.
As remy1492 said the subs are indeed spot on!
I tried looking all over the net to find good english subs but no where available yet this has them! Thank you!
I'll continue seeding this torrent and ill also rip the subs and upload them for folks who may have different copys of this.
