A fix for those of you that were experiencing problems with my Portal RIP

it`s again dosn`t work! When i press setup.bat i see that im not a admin!!! But i admin on my PC ;) System Error 1376 selected local group dosn`t exist! I try to transfer setup.bat in install files directory, but it`s not help, i disable antivirus, but its not help me, I try delete isadmin.cf2 from install files directory, after that installation start and complete without any problem, but when i try launch the game its dosnt work, because some files not installed, what do you think about this seao111 ???? sorry my english, some windows messages was incorrectly translated by me from russian ;)

c00lagen, your problem is that you don't have registry editing enabled on your machine. I had the same problem at first, so I screenshotted the command prompt that flashed up, and read the error message, which said "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator." Enable registry editing, and it should work. You should probably get that file back that you deleted, if you can.

Guys i got it to work this is what you do:
1. Go to the fixed bar
2. Right click it and hit edit
3. Go down and delete "IF NOT ERRORLEVEL 1 goto admincheck"
4. when you start the installation it'll say Menu:
5. Type 1 and hit enter
6. Enjoy

People need to learn how to upload shit proper. I've tried 2 different downloads and got different error messages that aren't even being spoken of, and if your curious my computer specs are far more advanced than what the game needs. My error on this download is "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files\Valve\Portal\synapse\debug2.exe" if someone can help that would be great.

If you have problems again, remove the " from the part that checks if you input 2 for the mode (to change directory)

When I start the install process it tells me "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\Valve\Portal\synapse\debug2.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start Button, and then click Search." I'm assuming that's because I havent installed the other Portal thing yet. But thats because I cant run the installer at all.

i got around the debug2.exe problem by finding setup.bat in C: and not going through bittorrent.
now i just get a white screen that i have to alt+tab away from. uuuggggh
