that has been posted numous times, and looks very viable, I have not confirmed it yet, however the russian sold disk would still include the english text on it, they don't leave it out in a realease, they would just have it set to inniatially be russian, and changing the country code should work just fine in theory.

I havent tried this because I dont have the game yet, but let me say that an exe file of 16,8 mb sounds either like a legit cracked exe or some virus packed exe.. everything about the file seems normal, only under properties it says "Copyright 2006 ZeniMax Media Incorporated".. why is it 2006 tho? and why not Bethesda Softworks? :S

4. installed the driver dev000
5.changed the reg key (I dont think this did anything)
6. Mount/install = no option for language
7. installed in russian
8. waited for pain in my ass 10 min hang when install bar was full
9. Run = works in Russian!!!!

11. go into the fallout 3 data directory and changed the name of russian.esp

Hmm. I'm playing it right now. So far everything was in english - in-game menu, narration by Ron Perlman and the part where you choose sex of the character. By the way - when you install the game there is window where you suppose to choose language (either russian or english) so look for that one.

is anyone without the ability to install english version actually able to run the game?
Mine isn't - its running the protect.exe and giving some russian error. I applied crack just as instructed and its doing this.

yes i can run, and disabled the russian.esp file in the data folder = game works- text menu and in game is in english but the voices are russian btw i had to do the russian install bc it did not give me a language option and have tired everything else.....

Sorry for a dumb problem, I did follow the instruction to change my region settings to Russia and did the English install, but now I get a popup which I assume is copy protection when i try to run the game. I did install the Fstarforce workaround before I reinstalled with the Russian settings though. Does anyone know what my problem might be?

ok i installed the starforce hack before mounting the image, changed all my regional settings in the control panel to russian and used the command prompt: G:\setup.exe /lang=eng and it launched the screen where i select russian or english and i selected english, however, all of the buttons' text are in russian but it installed into the default directory. i will let you know if it works after installation

this torrent really is 100% working. the in game text, menus, and voices are all in english but the installer was in russian. i installed the starforce hack before mounting the image with daemon v4.09HE, changed my regional settings via the control panel to russian, installed the game, changed the regional settings back to the united states, and used the trivium crack to launch the game. however, the launcher menu was still in russian but i chose the top choice to play the game and then everything was in english.

fucking alphabet, i had to lay out all the keyboard and input in a translator to see that the installer was asking to create a shortcut to the desktop and to install to all users using the computer. I don't know if this translator did it's job but i hope you understand.
Though i prefer Russia over US.
I changed my unicode and shit, selected all chirilic things in the list on the advanced tab (regional settings) changed everything to russian . Mounted the disc, installer poped, closed it, entered the installer through explorer (not autorun) and selected English. Will come back with future results.

I used the 1C torrent to install it in English by changing the unicode and regional settings as people said and it's true that the option to install in English appeared, but, the text in the install window, the game launcher window and also that language file in the game Data folder were all in Russian (the language file was named Russian.xxx and not English.xxx), also when i stared the game i got a pink screen and after a few seconds the game crashed to desktop.
Earlier this morning I installed the game in russian (and uninstalled it shortly after), applied the TRiViUM crack and the game worked fine (I didn't played for more than a few seconds).
If it's of any importance, I use Vista 64.

I read something similar to your brief explanation (useless without the pictures) which resulted in the uninstallment of the game. I took the second option of the autostart window. As it was in russian I couldn't read it. I just thought it's odd, and unfortunately uninstalled the game.
So please, make an exact explanation for how to change the in game resolution.

I'm noticing that the codec is also crashing when the game gets the pink screen. Although, I don't know whether the codec is causing the game to crash, or vice versa, as either are probable.
I've tried disabling the intro movies using the .ini files, a la Oblivion, but to no avail.

Really? They must have switched around the entries between the English version of the splash screen and the Russian version (just to double check, I'm talking about the screen that pops up when you click the .exe or Desktop icon, not anything actually in-game. It's the screen with the BoS armored guy on the left side and various options on the right, which in the US version is "Play", Options", "Data Files", Tech Support", and "Exit" in that order in the english version). Selecting "Options" will bring up a screen with the top entries being drop boxes for Graphics Adapter, Aspect Ratio, Resolution, Antialiasing, and Anisotropic Filtering (boxed together under the header "Graphics Adapter and Resolution". Under that is a box under the header "Detail" with buttons Low, Medium, High, Ultra, Default, and under that "Advanced..." (which leads to more windows that I won't cover here, sorry). Box in lower left is headered "Mode" with check boxes for (from top to bottom), Windowed and Vertical Sync. Box beside that is "Screen Effects" with None, Bloom, and HDR. The single unboxed in checkbox is for "Show All Resolutions" and below that is "Ok" and "Cancel".

Don't know if this has already bee posted, but just in case.. You do not need to change your location to russian. To get everything working in English, sound, text and GUI, do the forrowing;
Mount image
Start>Run> x:\setup.exe /lang=en (replace x with drive letter)
Copy and paste the game .exe's ONLY from the trivium crack (do not run the .bat)
Congrats, fully playable and in a language most people can understand.

to all who are either too dumb or too lazy to read.. this has ENGLISH audio, ENGLISH text and ENGLISH menus.. as well as RUSSIAN audio, RUSSIAN text and RUSSIAN menus..
all you need to do is install it right to get it in english.
and what the fuck is wrong with the people posting "use this crack" all the time and posting the same fucking WORKAROUND that's already included in this torrent.. it doesnt work for x64 anyways, while the TRiViUM crack does..

- run setup.exe with applocale (google it if you don't have it already)
select russian in applocale (search "russian" on wikipedia to see what it looks like with russian letters)
..or alternatively change your system locale (UNICODE) under regional & language options in control panel
to russian and reboot (after installation you should switch back to english and reboot again).
- now you can select english in the installer
- after the install is finished change "RUSSIAN.ESP" to "ENGLISH.ESP"
- use the TRiViUM crack. If you get bluescreens you could also try the starforce driver workaround instead of the TRiViUM crack (so better backup the original files before replacing them with the cracked ones)
- play

Um so this is the 3rd time I've installed the game this time I choose english through UNICODE changing my region and basically if froze at the very end again. When I closed it the menu popped up to play but when I clicked play it comes up with

At the very end of the installer, yes, when it blings like it there is a window open somewhere waiting for your instructions it has NOT FROZEN.
Let me clarify. When the progress bar has gone all the way to the right and has changed to a new bar and is greyed out... JUST WAIT
Wait for 15 minutes or whatever. It will work.

Same as I have with my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, it's not "supported" but since the game is using SM2.0 like Oblivion (Wich works for me) I presumed this would too. No idea what to do mate. Sorry.

PINK SCREEN FIX!!!!
I figured out why I was receiving a pink screen. When you install DO NOT cancel or do anything, just let it finish no matter how long it takes.
I was terminating a program that appeared to be frozen (it was like mdf-something). Just let it finish and it should work... in english.

I've seen alot of ATI people moaning about the game yes. It appears it crashes on launch for more people than just you and me. If this is permanent or just a bug or lack of support (wich may or may not be adressed later) for older cards I do not know.

Oh sorry, yes you appear to be doing everything correct when installing. I doubt it's the installation that's making it crash on launch. Very much doubt it.
I just don't understand why it's crashing when it's supposedly running the oblivion engine with SM2.0 required, not SM3.0. Must be a simple bug-crash.

Recommendations for people with old (or newer) ATI cards that get the crash on launch.
1. Try diffrent drivers. Personally I have the newest Omega drivers and an antique ATI 9800 Pro.
2. Check default_fallout.ini for setting that might need changing. = 1 (means yes) = 0 (means no). Alot of settings to go through here. Let us know.
3. Anyone pissed at discussing hardware on a torrent comment section. How about this, fuck you! :)

I installed the game with the "English" option, but for some weird reason, even though I renamed the file "ENGLISH.ESP", I get unicode latin characters in all dialogues (which supposedly are supposed to be acryllic). Can this have something to do with the RUSSIAN.ESP file not being in the DATA folder before I cracked the game? Anyone knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey all, I can confirm that this torrent contains ENGLISH SPEECH, SUBTITLES, ETC. The attached StarForce crack WORKS all right. The game has never crashed yet.
Also, I confirm that it takes a LONG time to finalize the installation. If you wonder what it's written there, when it seems to be frozen, it's "Deleting temporary files". It takes a really long time. Then the string changes to "Setting up DirectX" and installation continues.

Global maximum # of connections: 3000

For those that missed it, if you want to get this in English you have to do the following:
Control Panel>Regional Language and Options
Then change language to Russian in both fields (Change it in "Location" as well). Then click on Advanced tab and change that one to Russian, it'll then probably ask you to reboot, do so. Now run the game setup, the menu will be in russian, click top icon and you should now see an option to have the game installed in English.

we have a better way just set your region code and unicode to english... I'll just paste it...
to get this russian copy to install so you can hear english voices and english ingame text (out of game menues still in russian) follow these steps
change unicode to russian, to do this go to control panel, regional and language options, administrative tab, change system locale to russia, reboot when asked.
next step run game installer from daemon tools, a window you wouldn't have seen if you skipped the unicode step pops up with english option, click that and continue installation, the install will still be in russian. (will probably hang near the end for a while)
After that install the crack from trivium, run the game and you should see a russian menu and options to open the options menu or run the game, the options menu will be in russian.
After launching the game from here everythings in english.

Ach I've reinstalled four times or so and the game is still crashing as soon as I launch the .exe file or press "Play" on the launcher. I'm running vista 32 and an 8800gt and I get a black screen and then a "program not responding error". I tried using the crack included with this torrent and the Trivium crack. I also changed my location to russian to get the english option upon installation, at least that worked.

The sound is in English. The main menu text shows these weird characters, and all the ingame text have the same weird characters. The characters are exactly like like the pictures someone here took earlier: (copy and paste the URL into browser to view)
After I followed all the instructions you guys posted (changing region unicode and everything and selecting English before the install started) I checked and it never installed the russian.esp file at all. I'm about to give up on this crap

I had the exact same issue. I did one of two things, did both at the same time so not exactly sure which one caused the fix.
The file RUSSIAN.ESP is in the Data folder of your install directory. Default is C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data. As I said earlier, rename it to ENGLISH.ESP
Another thing I did was change a registry value. Go to Start -> Run -> type "regedit" (without quotes)
Follow the left side directory to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> 1C Multimedia -> Fallout 3 -> Keys -> Settings -> Protection -> GUI. Double click the entry that says LanguageID. Change the value data to 19.

First of all I am using Vista.
Secondly like I already mentioned in my last comment, whenever I change my regional settings to Russian, and then install the game using English, IT DOES NOT create a RUSSIAN.ESP file in the Data folder of my install directory. It ONLY creates the RUSSIAN.ESP file when I install the game normally...without changing the regional settings in Vista.
Lastly, HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> 1C Multimedia -> does not exist. I searched all over my registry in Vista and there is no 1C Multimedia being created anywhere.

I also had the same problem but fixed it using one of these two methods, I am not sure which because I did them at the same time.
1. Install using applocale
2. Changing Russian.esp to English.esp

The region change to Russian trick obviously isn't working on my Vista SP1. This is my final attempt now: I am going to try reinstalling the game normally without changing the region, and I'm not going to use the Trivium crack either. That is the only way the install will create the RUSSIAN.ESP file on my computer. Then I'll try renaming the Russian.esp file and/or searching the registry for that string and changing it. I think the reason why I don't have that registry string is because I wasn't running the cracked fallout3.exe that came with this torrent, I was always installing the Trivium cracked fallout3.exe. I think that registry string only gets created when you run the exe file that came with this torrent. This will be my final attempt now.

!!!! If you have not started this download, get the RELOADED version!!!!
Otherwise, here's what I did to get mine working:
Go to your control panel and change your location and unicode to Russian. Reboot and mount the image. When you start the installer, you should get a pull down menu to install in Russian or English. The installer will be in Russian, so do your best through the prompts.
After install, go ahead and change back your unicode to English. Go to the install directory. In the Data folder, rename the file RUSSIAN.ESP to ENGLISH.ESP
I also used regedit to change a registry value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> 1C Multimedia -> Fallout 3 -> Keys -> Settings -> Protection -> GUI. Double click LanguageID and input 19 for the Value Data.
I also used the Trivium crack instead of the Starforce driver.
I'm on XP SP2, and someone I was trying to help earlier on Vista SP1 was not able to get it working with these directions.

Okay...can somebody tell me if this is normal? I have successfully installed and cracked the game. It runs in English just fine. The problem I'm having is this. Some parts are STILL in Russian. During the opening scene, the speaker is speaking Russian. The main menu is in English. Everybody speaks English during the intro, but the Pipboy "tabs" are in Russian. When playing the baby and I pick up the book to change my stats, the book is in Russian, English headings (i.e. "Strength") but with Russian descriptions. Is there any way around this?
I have changed my registry value, have renamed the English.esp file in the Data folder, and am using the English crack from gamecopyworld.com.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

i changed the language of windows to russian in regional settings, all of it.
changed the timezone to russian, started the auto start on the cd while mounted with deamontools.
then got the language question. took english.
waited for it to install.
cracked the game with the exe posted earlier in this thread.
started the game.
quit the game.
remove the rusian text file.
change windows back to swedish and woila.
english game, and btw the ending of it is epic indeed.

okay. This is how i got full english working. first. Set go to you control panel and regional and language icon. Set all setting to russian. Even the advanced tab. Restart. mount and install like normal. Before the installer starts. and little drop menu should pop up. One of the choices is giberish. The other is english. But this doesnt mean the installer will be in english. Its still in russian. SO guess what you need to do to get it to install. Its not that bad. Once its installed. change all your regional setting you switched to russian back to united states and english etc. and restart. go grab the trivium crack, and follow the instruction for that. now Go to start > run and run regedit. Lookup the 1C multimedia it should be under HKEY-CURRENT-USER there are instructions how to do this in other posts. set it to 19 like the instructions say. OKAY now you need to go to your install folder. And rename the russian.esp that is located in the data folder. to ENGLISH.esp. OKay run the game. Guess what its still in russian isnt it? if its not then your good to go. IF it is go back to the data folder we were just in and see if a new russian.esp has popped up. If so delete it. the ENGLISH.esp should still be present. Now run the game. This is what i did. and i have a completely russian free, money free copy of fallout 3!

frntline: that has to do with that you didnt get the "english" install coice before you enter the install, you NEED to change your regional and time setings to russia to get it, theres no way arround it.
if it enters the install at once you WILL get russian sound.
ive said what ive done, it worked to me and i gathered it up by reading all the posts in here, please do it aswell and you will get it working, the game takes 20 hours to complete so spend atleast 2-3 hours to read all the others posts and try and try.
troubleshooting: i got russian text! remove the russian.esp file from the data folder.
i got russian sound: you didnt change regional settings to russian before the install so you didnt get the "choose language" window.

Hell All
I have dwnloaded and installed succefully... i have installed the workaround tool it came with... and i have changed the unicode to russian...
Now... when i click on Fallout 3.exe to run it... a box comes up with russian on it and 3 different selections on the right... if i click the middle one two more boxes will open.. they both appear to be loading somthing.. one is in russian and the other is in english "Refreshing system information" after they both finish loading (concurrently) another russian box pops up and seems to be a error message (with contact info) and opens an error log..
Please... if anyone can tell me what to do! Thanks

It will not finishing installing, it gets to probably 99.99% completion and it just hangs. I tried ending the installation from task manager, and when I try to load F3 it says xlive.dll was not found. I'm guessing it's hanging when it is trying to install the dll file.
Any suggestions? is there a fix for this?

When I launch Fallout 3 it crashes almost immediately... "Fallout 3 has stopped working"
Does anyone know how to fix this??

XP USERS.
First, go to the control panel and change your regional and language settings to Russian. There should be 3 places to change, probably only 1 of which matters.. but change all 3 just for the hell of it.
Restart your computer with Russian languages.
With the mdf. file mounted, run g: or whatever your invisible drive letter is, and use the autorun from the mdf. to install the game. If you've done everything correctly so far you should get an English option.
Wait out the complete install, including the pause at the end. Download Trivium's crack, and replace the files in the fallout 3 folder. Play away.

Here's how to get it English:

anyone else having this problem?: i ran all the workarounds and i have everythign in english. I can run the game, but after a fwe min's, it locks up (just the video, the sound continues to play usually). Only way to get out of it is to bring up the task manager and close it.

To get voices in English:
1) Uninstall Fallout 3 if you have it installed already
2) Download and install Applocale (google it to find out where to download it)
3) Run Applocale and open the setup program for Fallout 3 from there and choose English instead of Russian (???????)

Run Applocale->next->Launch an application->browse (find setup.exe on the iso)
Languange of the application->Russian (looks roughly like pyCCKNN)
This pops up a small window with lots of strange symbols... now select English and click OK (left button)
Install should begin... install still looks weird but it's speech is english when done.

It works fine, and in English.
You don't need to change the registry entry, download some other software, or rename russian.esp.
Before installing (or reinstalling) the game, change all your 'Regional and Language Options' (in the control panel) settings to Russian.
Be sure to select Russian under the 'advanced' tab where it asks you to "Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use"
When you begin installing, before installation actually begins, a window with a drop down menu should appear and one of the options will be English. Select it.
Continue with the installation, change your regional settings back to English, and enjoy the game.
(don't forget the crack either)

Okay, I've gotten to the third page in the installation, but I can't move on from there. I used Applocale. The page looks like it is asking where I want it installed, because it has a bar in the middle with a C in it. Only a C. This is the page that comes after what looks like the usage rights page. Ok, it won't run. It installed, but when I try to run the game another bar comes up, it only gets part way then it stops. It prompts me to press a button that, when I press it, brings up the bar from before plus another one that says "Refreshing System Information". I have no clue what to do. Thanks!

YAY I was worried I would need to re-download an english torrent!!! BUT, I finally have working english audio/video/text!!!
Followed all regional steps + crack but main menu text was still coming up in Rus. To get to english I needed to Right Click on Fallout3.exe and select "Run as Administrator" otherwise text still appears in Rus. Hope this helps!

Hello!
I installed this game on a quite recent PC, with Vista 64 installed on it.
I changed my settings to Russian, installed the game (first screen is all in RUssian, then another screen allows to chose english option which will determine the anguage used in the game, than I applied the TRivium crack).
It worked fine!
So, thank tou Igorek88!
But I really liked the original Fallout series... I must say that I'm quite disappointed with this game. The spirit of 'Fallout' has gone with the 3D view and combat mode... Nevetheless, I think it will be a good game for people who want something else than old fallout flavor.

alrite guys i took me over 2 hrs to get the thing runnin alrite, but it works.. now for all of you interested in playin eng version:
this it how it goes
1.Go into your regional settings in control pannel and change whatever you got there into -russian- under advanced tab, and restart pc
2. than run the installation, and chose the english version at the screen that pops up, (note it wont appear until u change ur regional setting to russian and restart pc). continue with instalation ( installer is still in rus but no worries)
i went thru 4 installations, and it seems it freezes at the end while saying something bout dirctx, just stay patient there.. its okay
3. before running the game make shure u got a crack installed. you will find loads on piratebay itself.
4. the rest seems kinda easy, just enjoy xD
Now idea with changing the localization isnt mine, i found it posted here already like some time ago, and its the only solution that actually worked 4 me, although i decided to point it out since it took some time 4 myself to find it.

I see that many have problems to install game in English so detailed instructions (I just collected everything written on this torrent):
1. Unpack the archive "FS03.2.rar".
Install the driver:
--- Start> Control Panel ---> Add New Hardware ---> Next ---> Yes, the device is already connected ---> Next ---> Come on in the bottom of the list, and choose "Add new device" -- -> Next ---> Installation of equipment from the list manually ---> Next ---> See all ---> Next ---> Have Disk -> Next ---> Add file dev000.inf .
2. Install MagicDisc. It's free on Internet. I don't like demonTools.
3. Mount image in the MagicDisc. Don't install yet, first do next:
4. HOW TO GET FULL ENGLISH SOUND & TEXT... go to:
Control panel-
regional and language options-
Advanced-
Change the language to Russian-
Restart the computer-
5. Install Fall out3 (the top button)
Now you should get a window that says English, select it-
Let it install-
When you reach 100% it would need couple of minutes to finish the installation so don't restart
6. Then go to game "root", into Program Files-Beth Soft-F3-Data-
and Delete(Russian.esp)
7. Change your language back to english and restart
8. Copy the cracked content from the Trivium folder to game "root" (you can find crack here:
9. Execute install.crack.bat
10.- Make sure u have dozen bottles of good cold beer

Thanks for the rip, works good but game seems to have a strange memory leak. When i use my Pip boy the whole game drops to like 5 frames and stays like that until I alt tab out and back in, at which point it works fine. English patch doesnt work and no rus one available yet, any suggestions?

I have downloaded the game> installed FstarForce and get error code 31(i have downloaded multiple times and i get the same error each time.
I change regional settings to russian as advised. Reboot
Mount and run Setup select english language click next until it starts installing.
Wait for it to finish install apply the crack and click play (top option) as soon as i click play the game crashes. Doesnt even attemp to open it the program just stops reponding...

I have downloaded games before and never had any trouble installing cracking etc always works but for this seems it isnt working for me.

Alright. I'll explain what I've done and what problems I'm having. I'm seeding while doing this so other people can download.
1 - Download Torrent
2 - I did this...
Installation:

It asked me to restart my computer, so I did.
When my computer was rebooted.
3 - Set regional and unicode to Russian.
4 - Mounted with MagicDisk and selected English.
5 - Waited, 10 - 15 minutes after 100% it finished, asking me if I wanted to see the readme file in russian. I unchecked and clicked what I assumed to be "finished"
6 - regional and unicode to english.
7 - restarted computer.
8 - downloaded Trivium crack.
9 - ran the install.bin, it deleted itself and the "extractor" application. Then I took the fallout3.exe and fallout3 launcher.exe and put them both in the directory folder.
10 - tried both and here are my results.
Blank screen, crash.
I'm running windows XP and I'm quite certain this isn't a graphical issue. o.o;
This computer runs AoC for christ's sake.
Please help, I'll continue seeding for two hours. If I get help, I'll seed longer while I sleep tonight.

This is working, and everything is in English. After doing the whole locale change and all it works. After I went through the install in Russian(really easy not much to read) I deleted the Russian.esp and I am now playing.
Oh yeah use the Trivium crack since this is a Russian build.

(for vista) maybe dif on xp...
1. go into your language settings in control panel
2. click on administrative tab
3. change language for non-unicode programs to russian.
4. restart pc. then run setup on disc.
5. it should automatically ask you what language to install (setup will still be in russian)
6. use trivium crack and play....
7. (optional) get english launcher crack for easy graphics settings changes...
make shure you download Trivium Crack Ahead of time and make shure you copy and Paste it to the Fallout 3 folder in ur program files section, the game crashed the 1st time for me after about 10 minutes of playing, i tried to apply the update patch but i dunno if it worked sed it didnt, but restarted PC and it is working Very good, no problems at all right now YEAA!!! seeing as how i tried this for 2-3 days, If any body is getting the problem after you install were its some russian BS it loads half way then ur PC crashes, Make shure you copy the crack into the fallout 3 folder and double click extractor then the Crack file, after all this BS the game should start up, in English

I have installed the game, but don't know how to play or change language
i have tryed doing some of the tips, but i have vista.
And i cant change the language to russian, an if i did, i wouldent know how to innstall the game again becose i don't know russian. and everytime i try to play, it seems that i just uninstall the game again:S:S..

I think i've found out the reason why some people's won't work. When they try and do the Trivium crack, Vista users have to "Run as Administrator." But doing so makes the crack for some reason, search for the files in system32 rather than the game directory. This is the problem i (not being THAT good with programs and stuff) have not been able to figure out a solution. Any help is appreciated

@Varusarr have you tried coping the files that the crack cracks into the system root them moving back into the fallout dir? You could also do some looking around for commandline parameters for the runas command. You might be about to specify a different working dir. just guess
